GENGAR

Gengar was always my favorite Pokemon. I loved how he was just this goofy little fella that wanted to scare you for shits 'n' giggles. Newer games ruined that for me, making him this monster that wants you dead, which is why I stopped getting games that are past gen 1. I prefered goofy ghost man, not psychopathic ghost man, however, I think today has changed that for me. You see, 3 days ago, my Pokemon Red Cartridge broke, so I had to order a new one. It was £5, so I assumed this was used or a bootleg cartridge. It arrived today at 12:00 pm and I was so excited, I booted it up and saw the title screen, only, the Gengar looked different. Its grin was replaced with a solid white void, it's body was just the same, but its hands were like mittens and it had solid white line eyes. It wasn't attacking the Nidorino, it was toying with it sort of, spinning out the way of attacks and bowing as if it was a show. Then, it did the usual ending when the Nidorino pounced at the Gengar, however, instead of a static expression, the Gengar looked cartoonishly terrified before ending. Then, I was taken to the title screen and, for a split second, I could see the continue game option, however, a pitch black Pokemon sprite went flying into the option, knocking it off screen. I picked New Game and it was the usual intro bit. I named myself RED and my rival BLUE because why not. It was normal, except when I went out into the wild, I encountered a Pokemon. "A "wild" CHARMANDER appeared!" I was confused because Charmanders usually didn't appear in route 1, there was no Professor Oak and why were their quotation marks? Those last 2 questions got answered when the Charmander approached my character with text saying, "CHARMANDER used LEAD!" My character's battle sprite turned around and followed the Charmander towards the screen, ending the battle and I got a cutscene of my character being dragged to Professor Oak's lab by a Charmander. When we got there, the Charmander returned to its Pokeball and Professor Oak walked to the Pokeball saying, "Nice job, CHARMANDER." before putting the ball where Charmander usually sits. "You're late, RED." Professor Oak stated. Then everything went normally, only Bulbasaur and Squirtle's Pokeball were gone. I assume Bulbasaur was taken by someone else and Blue took Squirtle considering I would've been able to pick the stronger starter. I took my Charmander and left, but then Blue stopped me for a battle as usual. Then, out of nowhere, a crash sound was heard and a pitch black Pokemon Sprite landed on Blue, knocking him to the ground. A text bubble appeared saying "WOAH WOAH WOAH PAL, I SEE YOUS A FAN OF GENGARS, EH? WELL LETS SEE IF YOUS GOOD ENOUGH FOR ME!!" A battle started and I was fighting the Gengar from the cutscene. I sent out Charmander and a text bubble appeared saying, "I SEE, YA CHOSE THE LIZARD. I LIKE LIZARDS, PAL. GOOD CHOICE!" As if I had a choice in the first place. I selected "Attack" and used Scratch. The attack missed as an animation of the Gengar spinning out of the way, bowing and holding a flame up in the air played. "OH. I THINK I GOTS SOME'N THAT BELONGS TO YA LIZARD!" I was confused, until text appeared saying "GENGAR GOTS YA LIZARDS SOUL!" Scared for Charmander's wellbeing, I tried using another scratch, but the Gengar tore himself in half to dodge the attack before coming back together. "NAUGHTS AND CROSSES IT IS THEN!" "GENGAR used SCRATCH!" an animation played of the Gengar scratching Charmander's soul, creating a game of tic-tac-toe. This damaged Charmander a lot. "NOW WHERES YA PUTTIN' YA-" "CHARMANER has had enough with GENGAR's shit." "WHATS DOES THAT-" "CHARMANDER used WHATEVER THE FUCK HE'S ABOUT TO DO!" Charmander dashed towards the Gengar, starting his rage-fueled attack with a bite, before doing an uppercut, then slamming it to the ground, before kicking it out the window and following. Attack sounds could be heard, before a Charizard swooped past the window, carrying the Gengar upwards. The entire region rushed outside to Pallet Town, some recording the Charizard violently beating a Gengar. Then, text popped up saying "CHARIZARD used SIESMIC TOSS!" The two went flying upwards, never to be seen again. Oak caught me a Pikachu and the game continued normally, only without Blue because I think he's fucking dead. By the time I made it to Victory Road, I had forgotten about the fighting until a there was a huge explosion smack dab in the middle of Victory Road. There, my Charizard stood, with the Gengar under his foot. A battle occurred and before I could send out my first Pokemon, the fly animation played and my Charizard was back on my team. The Charizard was absolutely huge and the Gengar struggled to get up. I used a Pokeball and caught the Gengar. "CHARIZARD used FLY!" The Charizard flew off with my character and took me to the Elite 4. I healed my POkEMON before challenging them. Then, I noticed Charizard's level was so big, the numbers went offscreen. The Elite 4 were fairly easy and I became Champion. I went to fight Mewtwo with my Charizard, but then the Gengar left the Pokeball and tormented MEWTWO, giving me the opportunity to catch it while it was distracted. After that, I went to bed. I had a dream of the Gengar telling me to wake up. I woke up, and there was a USB next to me. I plugged it into my PC, and all of my Pokemon were in it. They also were hyper realistic and I'm now in hell and uhh other cliches and uhh/j
