Game Freak Warned

There was an unfamiliar hack of Pokémon Stadium for Nintendo 64 that I didn't know the name of. It strangely had new Pokémon like Gardevoir and other newer Pokémon. The game was until normal, I chose my team, and started the battle normally... The strange thing was that Gardevoir had an attack called "Pentagram", but the attack seemed to be incomplete, because when I tried to execute the attack the Game crashed... And then it changed to a brown screen with green leaves around it, and after a few seconds a text appeared written "Game Freak warns you:" but before anything else appeared, I quit the game and deleted the ROM... But I was thinking, What would happen after that?. After 6 years, I searched this Hack all over the internet and found nothing. So maybe the game is lost forever, and it will only stay in my memories.

Unknown Email

I got an email from a user named Magnemite6000 and he said he had this ROM from a Chinese website where people wanted to unravel this ROM. It gave me the ROM files, I downloaded and ran it on the emulator. It was the same game, but at first it showed a warning I hadn't read before. The warning says: "This ROM is not for normal players, but for testing. We're not Game Freak, we're impersonating her. And if you are not one of us, delete this ROM, otherwise you will be involved in a crime.".

The Game

At the beginning of the game there was no Pikachu voice saying "Pikachu", and went straight to the game menu. It looked normal, but it had other text underneath the word "Stadium," but it was buggy and impossible to read. I chose my team and together with Gardevoir. In the battle I ran the Pentagram again and after that the game crashed again and the same message appeared, but this time I left the game rolling to see what would happen. The message "Game Freak warns you:" appeared and underneath: You are not one of us. We would never use that attack because that was the test. Never play that ROM again. All players who are not part of this Game Freak will be tracked. [...] And meanwhile it reproduced a very loud sound of a whistle, and underneath appeared a corrupted image of all the Pokémon in the game.

End

I deleted the ROM and asked the user who sent it to me what it was, and why it was available on a ROM site. But he didn't answer. Yvan - 2012.
