Early Days: 1997 to 1999

In Miami, California, high school friends Jaiden Friendly, Shaun Conman, and Putt-Putt Johnson formed what would eventually become one of the universe's most influential Nu-Metal/Rapcore bands of all time. They called it "Gangrene Green!", stylized with an explanation point for some reason. Jaiden Friendly would be on Guitar/Vocals, Shaun Conman would be on Slap Bass, and Putt-Putt Johnson was the drummer. With one element missing, they set out to find one more member. They eventually discovered their fourth member, DJ Fumeslayer, who's amazing ability to scratch two samples at once while cooking an Eggo in the microwave proved limitless to the band, and so he was added.

They ended up playing gigs around the Miami, CA area to critical acclaim from most, and painful heckling from those under 5 and/or over 40. One of the biggest draws was Friendly's famous trick where he would drink a whole Cola bottle while singing. Eventually, they attracted the attention of record labels, and began recording their debut album.

"On the bongo bangs, Putt-Putt!"

Debut and first Tour: 1999 to 2002

During recording for their debut record, Fumeslayer accidentally microwaved his Eggo for two hours while recording turntables for their hit single, "Spin that Dreadcrow". The band decided the end result would be perfect for an album cover, so they took a pic of it, and modified it for the printing. It took two weeks to record the entire 12 track album. One of the songs had a guest appearance of Hed PE vocalist Jared Gomes. The debut album was released in July of 1999, which hit platinum in over 5 countries. This began the long and tedious First Tour where the band toured and opened for Deftones, Limp Bizkit, and Korn to name a few. They easily began a cult following, and rumors spread around about a possible second album. These rumors were made true about two years later with...

Bargaining? What Bargaining? and World Tour: 2002 to 2004

Fun Fact: One of the tracks was a cover of the Spice Girl's Wannabe.

In the year of the Scooby Doo movie, Gangrene Green felt that the day of reckoning was upon us, and they set out to make yet another record once again. This one was called Bargaining? What Bargaining? featuring the hit single of the same name. The album's themes mainly focused on the immense frustration and depression infesting the band members due to the recently released Scooby Doo movie which, according to Johnson, "tainted the very idea of our favorite cartoon dog."

The album launched Gangrene Green in the mainstream once again, with their songs being danced to on TikTok, and Minecraft Parodies were being uploaded at a surprisingly rapid rate. They set off on their biggest tour yet, which lasted another good two years and costed millions of dollars in property damage due to the intense amounts of moshpits and crazed fans running on stage. Conman even ended up beating the shit outta one which was called justify by Reddit's r/GangGREENfanpage. Despite these incidents, there was one which could not be Deus-ex-machined enough to be saved.

THE ACCIDENT, break-up: 2004 to 2005

On April 2nd, 2004, an unknown figure took Shaun Conman for a drive in the woods at midnight, it was unknown what prevailed as cameras were banned in the area at the time, but from what fans have gathered they know that he and the unknown figure exploded or something. The motive was never solved and authorities are still unsure if it was a crime of passion, or just some idiots who got drunk. I don't know, whatdayou think? :/

Anyways, this lead to the remaining members separating and have never reunited ever since.

Hiatus: 2005 to Present

The original members have not formally reuioned ever since THE ACCIDENT. Numerous fanfictions have surfaced as a result of this, each one containing some type of eroticity to it. While the band's approximate location may be unknown. All we can do for now is too...
