Goodbye Ocarina
Being a fan of all Nintendo games and I soon became a video game collector. The first one I started out getting was the Nintendo 64. Of course most people would get it off of eBay but I was smarter. I got it off of Amazon, a more trustworthy site. I weirdly found one for three bucks. It came with all of the cords needed also apparently. I bought it anyway. I was so excited to play old games.
The next day it was at my door step. I didn’t pay extra to get it fast it was just there. I found that odd and I was freaking out because I got it so fast. I opened the box and got out the Nintendo 64. On the console it had some weird characters on it. The characters read? 何も、コンソールに入れ? I didn’t care at the time so I hooked up the console. I checked the box for anything else and I found a game.
When I bought the console it said no game would come with it. I found it odd. When I looked at the cartridge it was just grey. In black marker however it had these symbols? さようならオカリナ. When looking at the cartridge I thought to myself, why is there a ton of Japanese? I didn’t care so I put in the game.
When the game started up I noticed it was Ocarina of Time. Weirdly it was in English. The title screen looked normal so I thought it was a normal game. When I pressed start there were two files already taken. One was called Goodbye, and the other was called Ocarina. Just for kicks I looked at both of them. The first one I looked at was Goodbye. When selecting it I noticed whoever played this file beat the game.
I loaded the file and I was disturbed. What I saw was Link and Ganondorf. Ganondorf was holding a sword in one hand and was holding Link in his other. All I saw happen was Ganondorf cut off Link’s head and say "Goodbye Hero of Tme." over and over until the game froze. When it froze all I saw was Ganondorf just looking at me. I turned off the game and just sat there in my room.
After five minutes I turned the game back on and selected ocarina. Ocarina was the same exact thing of Goodbye but it had more. It was more realistic and didn’t end at link getting executed. After he cut off Link's head he cracks it open and eats his brain. I vomited at the sight of it. It was so realistic and it didn’t look like a game at all. It looked like real life. After he ate it, he chucked the head and body at the screen making it look bloody and disgusting. After that the camera went on to Ganondorf’s face and him saying I’m coming for you and my name. After that the game turned itself off. After that I sat there for 10 min just doing nothing.
After that I was man enough to turn on the game and delete the two game files. After I deleted this last one the loudest scream came out of the TV and it lasted for 3 hours. I couldn’t turn off the console or TV. I tried unplugging everything and it did nothing. By the second hour I left my house and went to the park. It was just as loud. By the third hour it stopped and I went home. My dad was at the house when I got home and he looked fine. I asked him what time he got home and he said an hour ago. I asked him if he heard anything and he said no. I was shocked, he didn’t hear anything. After that I went back into my room and hooked everything back up.
I started it up the game and it was normal. The save files were gone and everything was normal. I made the new file, called it link, and beat the deku tree in 20 minutes. When it came time to get the ocarina for the first time all Saria said was "Goodbye Ocarina". That was freaked me out but I was okay. Once I got to the princess’s room I talked to her then saw Ganondorf. When Ganondorf looked at me I noticed blood all over his face. It was unsettling. The game continued as it normally would. I got all three of the stones and got to the castle. Once I got there the cut scene that usually happens happened but instead of the Ocarina of Time being blue it was blood red. The scene when Zelda teaches you the song of time was replaced with funeral music and text saying "Goodbye Ocarina." and then the Song of Time reversed.
After another two hours I was at Ganondorf’s castle. I did everything I had to do but I was scared to defeat Ganondorf. Once I got there the normal scene was there but his text was different. It said I’ve been waiting for you and used my name. I was freaking out now. Next he said are you ready to die. Choices appeared either yes or no. I chose no but nothing happened. I had to choose yes. After I chose that the game turned off immediately.
Everything in the house also turned off including the lights. I was just sitting there waiting for something to happen. After about an hour I heard a three screams and then everything turned on. My Dad, Mom, and brother were killed. There was a note. It said GOODBYE and my name. I turned around and the killer was there. There was a knife on the counter so I grabbed it and stabbed the killer.
I didn’t know what these people wanted with me, but I was ready for more. After 3 hours of waiting no one came. After that I looked up the Japanese on the console and game. The console said do not put a game in the console. The game said "Goodbye Ocarina". After that I put the game and the console into a bag. I got the sledge hammer and destroyed it. When I destroyed it, I heard a faint whisper in my ear saying "I will be back."
