Goodbye SpongeBoy
It was November 2002, and I was at a pizza chain. I was eating a nice, warm cheese pizza, while I was surfing the web. I later decided to go on YouTube and search for new SpongeBob episodes. I saw that one that had a pretty weird title, Goodbye SpongeBoy (BANNED PILOT EPISODE). I thought he would run away from home (similar to the episode "Whatever Happened to SpongeBob?") in this episode. But this was said to be a pilot, so maybe it was an early version of "Whatever Happened to Spongebob".
Still curious, I clicked the video. The page took three minutes to load, After all of the loading, It immediately went to the title card. The text was green, and there was no background. The text read, "GOODBYE SPONGEBOY."
The episode started with SpongeBoy watching his television with Gary. Then there was a knock on the door. It was Sandy. Sandy said she'll go on a family vacation for 9 weeks. SpongeBoy said he'll miss her, gave her a hug and said goodbye.
A time card then popped up, reading "A Week Later". It cut to SpongeBoy reading a newspaper on his couch. Then, there is a knock on the door. SpongeBoy went up out of his couch to open the door.
Patrick walks out of the door with a very depressed face and said that Sandy died in a plane crash. SpongeBoy let out his normal laugh. "Good one, Patrick!" he chuckled. Then SpongeBoy Laughs more, and more, and more... Then Patrick has a serious look on his face and in a stern voice he said:
"It wasn't a joke, SpongeBoy."
SpongeBoy gasps then suddenly bursts into tears and runs to his bedroom.
A "TOMMOROW" time card pops up and the bubble transition splashes on the screen. It was Sandy's funeral. SpongeBoy, Patrick, Mr. Crabs, Plankton, Pearl, Gary, Squidward, and everyone else were there, sobbing, the sounds of them all filling the screening room. It cut to concept art of SpongeBoy Ahoy.
It then cut to black for 52 seconds, and it showed SpongeBoy at his desk, the desk was green and more simplified looking. In front of him was a sheet of paper and a pencil, and started writing. All I heard was the pencil sounds of SpongeBoy Writing.
Here's what he wrote:
"Without Sandy in my life, I am nothing. She made me what I am today and I'm thankful for her. But now with her dead, I just have no purpose in my life. I cannot live without Sandy. If she is dead, then I want to be dead. Goodbye people. I am really sorry if I am hurting anyone for doing this, but I can't just live like this... without Sandy the Surfer.
If anyone finds this note, then I am long, gone, dead. Goodbye Bikini Atoll and Goodbye Bikini Bottom."
There is no noise after that, except for SpongeBoy saying "Farewell." and a tear came out of his eye.
It cuts to a picture of a realistic gun, SpongeBoy Grabs it and points it to his head.
SpongeBoy just... stays there and there's no audio at all. It's dead silent.
At the bottom of SpongeBoy's, it said "RIP SpongeBoy (1994-1997)", Then it cuts to black while a gunshot noise is heard.
Then it cut to the credits. However, there was no text, instead it was just red flowers and music.
I was disturbed by this episode, hopefully I pray that nobody will find whatever that pilot was.
