Have you ever played Valves Half-Life series and wondered about the elusive figured that the community has labeled as Gman? Many people speculate that This suited "Goverment Man" is actually Gordon Freeman from the future coming back to warn himself about some sort of event. Others believe Gman is not human at all. There are several sequenses throughout the entire half life series were the Gman can be seen in places where the player can not gain acsess to. For example, behind locked doors, On a tram opposite of the player, On a security monitor. Now I can assure you that based on the evidence included in the games that Gman is definetly not Human, and if he is, he is some sort of mutation. In Half-life Gman can manipulate time, Which as far as I'm concerned, he is the only being in the game who can do that besides the vortigaunts/alien slaves and we aren't even sure the Vorts posses the abilty either. Gman can also tamper with radio waves and signals judging by the images seen of him on automated anouncement boards and in active T.V.s . It is said that the Gman can teleport also which is entirely true considering *SPOILER ALERT* at the end of Half-Life Gman takes Gordon from Black mesa and briefly teleports him back to Xen in the same flashy green lights that the Xenian aliens emit when they teleport. Now this can mean one of two things, Either due to technical limitations valve did not go through the trouble to render a diffrent teleport sequence for Gman, OR , That Gman Is related to the Xenian in some way. And weather that be by being an actual Xenian alien or simply harnessing the power of the Xen crystals to teleport they are related in some way.

Now onto the theroy, *SPOILER ALERT* Near the end of Half-life 2 Breen approaches Gordon and asks him if he knew that his contract was open to the highest bidder in which Alyx tells gordon not to listen. In a sense gordon is reffered to as a pawn... Which leads me to believe that Gman is NOT Gordon, But is the Player. Now I understand that it is quite a long shot to go that far, But hear me out. Considering Gman converses with other charecters and they are all aware of his existance, Why not tell Gordon? Eli was going to at the end of Episode: 2 but was killed by combine advisors. The only reason Gordon is not made aware of Gmans existance is because of the role Gordon Plays in the events of each situation. For example Gordon, A single man, Destroyed the combine citedel. Against all odds Gordon survives every confrontation, And you know why? Because Gman is controlling him! At various points in the series Gman can be seen helping the player in certain ways. Why care for his well being? Gordon is a valuable asset to Gman. Think of this, If Gman is controlling Gordon and has put him on a set path that he can't stray from, In a sense wouldn't You be playing as Gman Controlling Gordon? Let that settle in...

We also know that Gman has put several people in stasis, One of which is a HECU marine named Adrian shepard who appeared in Half-life opposing force and has not re-appeared in the series since then. I believe that Gman has a plan a plan that has been set in motion eversince the resonnance cascade. His objectives are still unknown and hopefully we recive further insight to the Gman in future Half-Life games.
