I Thought You Liked the Dark...

Hello.

If you are reading this, you must be interested in reading something better than usual. Well, that's too bad, because this will be cut short if I am right about that thing in the dark.

Ah, but you're probably wondering what this is about, aren't you? I'll tell you what it's about. That factory, that's what!

That factory is the bane of my existence, always staring me in the face, holding in its secrets. I always wanted to go in but every time I decided to go, my brain told me otherwise. One day, I ignored what I thought deep in my brain and gathered some friends. That day, we gathered outside the factory, mustered our strength, and stepped inside. It was badly vandalized by teenagers. I thought it was strange that many of them weren't even halfway done, their drawings just abandoned by their writers. I found some spray cans that weren't even opened.

My one friend stopped suddenly and said that it was too dark, to which my other friend replied, "I thought you liked the dark." Not another word was spoken until we reached the assembly line. The friend that stopped earlier suddenly stopped again, stared at a dark tunnel that the conveyor belt ran through, and suddenly ran back to the entrance. My other friend yelled back, "SISSY!" which was very unlike him, as he was usually a kind individual.

As I stared at the tunnel more intently, I suddenly heard footsteps running away and I thought I saw something move.

My remaining friend said, "What was that?"

I said it was nothing and we moved on to the executive offices where my friend said he felt something brush past him. Somehow, I found a lamp that worked still and turned it on. What I saw horrified me. My friend that ran was dangling from the ceiling split open so his entrails could hang out freely. That wasn't all though. I nearly barfed when I saw him blink. I turned to my friend who had vanished as well. I ran out into the hallway calling his name. I turned on another miraculously working light and saw IT. It was a tall, grotesque figure that seemed to have millions of arms sewn onto it, presumably the arms of all the workers. The thing's face was similar to that of the manager's face, only with its eyes gouged out. It had my friend on its back, where the majority of the arms were. It was tearing him to pieces. That was all I saw before the light bulb shattered. I ran and I ran until I could run no more. The door was shut when I got to the entrance, and it was night-time. I collapsed, defeated.

And that's why I'm here, typing this on my laptop until morning.

Oh no, I hear something, I'm going to scream...

The thing is reading my thoughts, it just said "What's the matter, I thought you liked the dark..."

Oh no, this is bad, I might...
