I looked up to see him pull out his knife and raise it to his solid cheeks. The knife shone elegantly in his eyes and came closer and closer in magnitude to his face. I began to scream, and I realized he couldn't hear me. Just as I was screaming, I saw him scream in pain as the knife began to saw directly into his cheekbone. I could hear the bone racing back and forth, sloshing around his face. If only he could hear me scream for him to stop. I saw his entire cheek flop around, solidly landing on the ground. I looked down again as he screamed, he looked down with me.
I looked up in the long, tall mirror again. If only he could hear me.
