In the Shadows

My heart is pounding I feel it closing in coming to kill me. I feel the smoke coming down the vents. It seeps through floor. A shoadow appears from the ground. It rises sbove the height of any human. Two red eyes open from what appears to be its head. It slowly tilts itself towards me and sticks out a bloody hand.

I burst awake sweaty and screaming. I look around my bedroom. I get out of my bed and go downstairs into the restroom. I wash my face and return to bed tired and scared. The next morning i notice my my closet door is open. "Strange," I thought to myself, "I'm pretty sure it was closed last night." I shrug it off and go to school.

When I return home my parents are no where to be found. I find a note on the coffee table. Dear Tom, Your Father and I are at away getting groceries, wait for your sister to come home and wait for us there. I throw the note away and start watching TV. About half an hour later i smell burning, smoke is coming from outside. I run outside and see the school bus on fire. I see its my sisters bus and run to the paramedics, already on the scene.

They tell me that she is fine just has too much smoke in her lungs. My parents still do not return and I am worried I feel something on my shoulder, I turn and see the smokey shadow from my dream I yell and push it away. It says slowly your sister is dead then laughs. And floats away.
