Kazooie's Turmoil

I was in my attic when I found my old Nintendo 64. I couldn't find my games though so I went shopping at flea markets. I finally found one with a stack of games, and they were all in their original boxes! Then, I saw something I truly liked: Banjo Kazooie.

"I loved this game when I was a child! How much do you want for it?!" I said.

The seller was a middle-aged, Asian man with a thick accent. He seems like a reseller who doesn't know what he's really buying, nor selling.

"5 dollars." he said.

"Deal." I gave him the five bucks(what an amazing deal!) and checked inside the box.

There was no cartridge. It had just a small flash drive.

"How come there's no cartage like the others?" I asked. "Rom." was all he said. Although I'm against piracy, technically I bought it, so I guess it's fine.

I came home and downloaded an emulator. I ran it and it and went to file, open ROM. I went to the flash drive directory to fine not one, but two ROMs: Banjo.z64 (the file extension for a Nintendo 64 ROM) and Kazooie.z64. I obviously opened Banjo and started playing and it was fun...for the time being.

The first weird thing was it closed all programs but itself and Steam(why steam?) and I couldn't launch any other things. Another was It was EXTREMELY easy for some reason.

But the ending isn't the same. It instead showed a text box from Mumbo saying "You heard from every wall but the fourth, and every story but the bird's" and then in spikes, written:

"Kazooie."

I was dearly confused so I thought to open the other ROM game. It was just like normal game...but that's when it got scary. I got a message via Steam during the game so I switched tabs to a message from a someone named 'Banjo's Side' just saying "Don't read this."

I was very creeped out hadn't a clue what to do, so I just resumed playing...but I couldn't. When I switched back to the game, it was just a picture of Banjo having a regular smile with it saying in blood:

"Why did you interrupt my story-telling?!" and slowly, his smile turned into a jaw, wide open.....his eyes, just blood red and widely open.

I was even more scared, but since it wasn't the regular game (Kazooie.z64). I thought it wasn't normal, but the ending of Banjo may protest...the face soon faded away and the game...just changed.

Kazooie's face was very sad and all the enemies were slow. At the end, instead of the regular cutscene, it was a video of banjo taking off his back pack (in which Kazooie resided in) and Kazooie came out of the back pack.

He had stitches around the exact border where his body is and isn't in the back pack with zipper marks around it. As if someone was closing the zipper on him while he was inside.

And there are bloody and bruisy marks all over his lower half, but it wasn't the blood that scared me. It was that the camera zoomed into the backpack. Where small, pointy spikes were facing inwards inside the walls of the pack. Banjo just staring at them with a demonic smile with the words:

"Goodbye, I hope you had a fun time." and it closed. I checked the flash drive and the ROMs were gone.
