Let Me Introduce Myself
Remember those dreams you had when you were little? Disfigured humanoids and the like. Some of the "dreams" you had weren't really dreams, and this story is a "dream" I had earlier this summer. It happened this year, not long from now.
I woke up with strange pain that shot through my body. I noticed a strange figure in my doorway and immediately from my reads of pastas, I thought it was Slenderman.
But when my eyes adjusted to the light, I could see that it was not. It was short, but still, it stayed in my head forever. It was only partially materialized and within moments it formed into what appeared to be me. It was completely silent, until it spoke.
"Let me introduce myself, I am you!"
"But you can't be me! I am me."
He had a strange voice, but he still spoke otherwise, "Nonsense, you know the thing about time travel, that the same matter can't exist in the same place at the same time. Well, I would have to walk inside of you to do that, and that's physically impossible."
"I am a time traveler?"
"No, not that either."
"Then what are you?"
It took me some time, but I realised that I was talking into thin air in reality, and that the voice was in my mind. "Shall I show you my true form?"
I did not hesitate. I told him to get on with it. "Go ahead, show me!"
It took the half-materialized form then it turned to this... creature... I can't describe, but from that I knew that I had died, and that death was letting me go.
"Now that you have seen me, I shall go."
It then seemed to fade into nothingness. Its voice still spoke to me. "I hope that you are satisfied. But I will return, for I am The End! I will come back for you, and you will not see me come."
My little brother walked over to me, seeing me stand and stare into the open doorway of my room. He spoke to me from the hallway of the house.
"What the hell? Who are you talking to?" he questioned.
I did not answer; I just went back to sleep.
