Hello, it is I, Smarty McRational. I heard you discussing an issue which doesn't involve me and I thought you needed my expertise, gleaned from thousands of hours of reading Reddit comments.
Now the first thing you pitiful idiots need me to point out is that the article title is misleading. It doesn't ban all gender affirming care, just surgery, HRT, and puberty blockers. As you know, there are lots of other kinds of gender affirming care. Many kinds. You should know this. I can list them for hours. If you're too stupid to know what the other kinds are, well, just trust me on this one.
Second, let's talk about how it bans surgeries. Now I'm not saying the Republicans are right. But also aren't they entirely correct and all you woke liberals are doing unnecessary operations confused children? After all, we've all heard of the epidemic of six year olds walking into an OR and immediately having their nuts chopped off. These stories are everywhere. Even if this weren't the case, I don't think we can trust a person, their legal guardians, their primary care physician, their psychiatrist, and their operating team to make the right decision. That's a core part of what we believe, after all: Regulatory boards must stop the private sphere from ever making a decision. It's for their own good.
And one final thing, can we really trust the experts? The American Medical Association, the Endocrine Society, the American Academy of Pediatrics, the United States Professional Association for Transgender Health, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health, and so on, aren't they all wokies who are paid off and can't be trusted? But do you know who you can trust? Me. And Ron Desantis. Because we've both reviewed the facts (read Breitbart) and came to the objectively true conclusion. So you can rest your silly little head and ignore the studies finding gender affirming care to improve outcomes. It's fine. You know you can trust me because I haven't cited a single damn source, but what I say feels true, and that's what matters.
I'm glad I could be of assistance to enlighten you on this matter. My nuance and rationality are impeccable and if you respond negatively then I'll complain about how this sub has moved left like someone who can't handle not having an echo chamber that always positively reinforces my beliefs.
