Mary loved water; she always asked her mother to let her swim. When they moved to new house by the lake, her mother finally let her go swimming. She went swimming every day. Her mother collected knives. Mary admired her mother's collection of knives. Her mother's favorite knife was a large knife for cutting meat. Her mother sharpened it every day.

One day, when Mary came back from swimming, she wanted to make a surprise for her mother. She searched her wardrobe for special clothes. She couldn't find anything special.

She randomly put on her black hoodie and her red trousers. She prepared a meal and she waited... and waited... and waited... but nobody came. Since her mother wasn't going to come home until 4:00, she thought she would do something her mother would never let her do before.

She picked up the precious knife. It was sharp. "Mommy once told me cutting makes perfect," she said. She grinned. She slowly slit her mouth... so she looked like she was still grinning. The warm dark blood trickled down her face leaving the impression of an everlasting yet sadistic smile.

She decided to put the knife back where it was, but her mother came home. "Honey, I'm home!" her mother said. "Mommy, I have a surprise for you!" Mary said. Her mother's purse fell out of her hands once she saw Mary's face.

"Mommy, you told me I didn't smile enough, so I made myself smile forever, Do you like it Mommy, Now I will be so pretty and happy and everyone will be so nice to me!"

Her mother was shaking in fear. "Mommy, am I perfect?" asked Mary. Don't you like it mommy, like me?"

"Y-yes, honey! Y-yes you are... In fact I-I have something for you" Mary watched her mother as she grabbed her husband's gun and tried to shoot her. But Mary was faster and she stabbed her mother in the heart.

"Shhhh... Mommy, you lied to me now you will lie no more... Hush now"

No more lies.
