Three years ago, a man named Jacob Treysillis had moved into a house in a suburb of Denver, Colorado. The house was nice, three stories. It cost one hundred thousand dollars. Fortunately, life had afforded him luxuries such as this.

So, after he had finished moving in to his extravagant new house, he decided that he would go out to a local bar. He searched the internet and found one called Hiccups. Sounds innocent enough, right? Anyway, he arrived at this local bar and saw that it was pretty low-end, but, alcohol is alcohol. He went in and ordered a Long Island Iced Tea, and started sipping. Across the room, he saw the most beautiful woman he had ever laid eyes on, her eyes like burning embers, her hair as raven black as the night. He approached her, confident that if it came to it, he could easily satisfy her...

"What?" She said with a condescending tone.

A little peeved by the cockiness in her tone, he replied with an equally disrespectful tone, "Just wanted to know your name."

After a bit of a pause she said, "You first."

Entertained by her taking away, almost shy attitude, he said "Jacob, Jacob Treysillis."

"Vanessa Hellmark," she said, smiling at him.

"Interesting," he said, curious to know the history behind her less-than-appealing last name.

Another short pause, and she said "Anyway, I'm sure I know what you want, so let's just skip the formalities and go."

"Wow, and I've known her for only SIX minutes, she is a go-getter," he thought to himself.

Vanessa grabbed her purse and walked with Jacob to his car, her hand in his.

They got home, and started kissing. He felt a strange burning in his brain, as if it was being probed. The normal "things" went on, except the burning wouldn't go away, it was so bad that he needed to stop. He started walking to the bathroom, and heard a quiet, "Hurry back" from his partner. He popped a couple of Advil, and figured it would go away once he started again.

He joined his partner back in bed, and began again. After they had finished, she fell asleep, but for some reason, he couldn't do the same. Eager to know the origin of her last name, he decided to look it up. No results. The computer suddenly shut off, and a quiet rumbling started in the back of his head. He saw his partner's eyes glow fiery red, and she slowly stood up, growling.

"What the hell?" he said, astonished. The room filled with fire, and he slipped away.

They say sometimes you can see him wandering the house, looking for his burnt body.
