Lived a Good Life

Leaning back in your hospital bed, you look out the window and take a look outside. You see the sun shining as birds fly by and animals play.

You turn to face your family, who stare at you with tears in their eyes. Your life has been an adventure filled with love and loss, friends and family, and now it is coming to an end.

As you look at your family members standing by your bed, you see your son, your daughter-in-law, your granddaughter, and your partner. Before your heart gives out, you see them mutter a phrase.

"I love you."

At first, you know nothing, but then, you open your eyes.

You see the sun shining down on you, clouds filling the air.

You sit up and look around. As you do, shock fills your body. You see all your dead family members running around, having fun.

Is this... Heaven?

You hear footsteps.

Looking to your side, you see a tall, green figure with a large nose and strange ears.

"Welcome to my swamp, laddeh. I've been waiting for ya."
