Lurkers

Their spiny fingers prick, and screech

Searching for things that they seek

In the darkness they lurk

Hiding, plotting, and scheming their works

You sleep, and they creep into your dreams

Surrounding your being, beginning to feast

As you begin to die, you are in for a surprise

You stir awake, and it was just a dream.
