Chapter 1: Otto

So, you don't know who Otto is. He was my friend.

He had a mullet and a sharp sense of humor, with dark-rimmed glasses that protected his brown pupils. He liked to wear a black suit and a red tie, though occasionally he would wear a white, Vatican velvet robe with "Fore Nihil Vulgis - Papa Franciscum Advenit!" sewn from shiny goldenrod thread, similar to Pope Francis.

It was one Sunday when we attended church. The reverend walked and said: "For which we pour bread and wine, we recite after: "Ego Deo senem pater et Iesu, quid credo Iesu advenis ad iudiciit dies."" He sliced some bread and poured water, for which it soaked the liquid, and he brought it over to the altar next to a bunch of cotton candy grapes. "We shall pour these cotton candies into their grape body and we hath thy wine from water, soaked in holy God's bread."

We left church and ate God's bread. We arrived home and channel surfed. Nothing. Just boring stuff. Until we found Channel 192. It was a distorted image of a red airplane, and text on the bottom said: "CONVERTED FROM ANALOG TO DIGITAL". That was possibly why the broadcast was varying from 720p to 144p.

After about half an hour, it switched to the "programs". A man was on a table, holding a candle and a mirror. It was 3:00 am by now, so the only explanation was a ritual. "Nede, Nede, appear in sight, as I blow the candle might. When I turn on the electric light, appear in no gruesome way. Light of current day - hath be gone, today is night, forever be fun.", the man whispered. At this point he was staring at me. I heard footsteps. Not from the TV, but from outside my door. He blew out the candle by directing his air to it, and a face started to appear. He turned on the light and "Nede" appeared. He showed us the mirror. We were scared. Nede was a goddess with no facial features. She was surrounded by dark velvet curtains and mist. She held up her hand and there was an eye. An eye with muscles and blood still attached. We were spooked.

Chapter 2: Nede

Nede showed a severed arm, and then our house. At that exact moment, the door broke open and Nede was there. She grabbed a knife and made two small cuts in her forehead. A tiny blood waterfall seeped as we witnessed her eyes started to form.

Except...her real eyes were not there. Her eyes were now her teeth and a slimy tear duct emerged, covered in pus.

A small indent started pushing into the skin and made a hole. A piece of bone and cartilage sniffed.

And that was her nose. She lowered a knife toward us.

My best friend Otto was quickly decapitated. And then, she ran out of the door.

There were bloody footprints everywhere and my skin was pale in fear. But, who was Nede?

Chapter 3: Researching the Paranormal

I started researching Nede. Most of the results were on an ancient town called Nedeoi, but one picture caught my attention. It was a foggy representation of Nede except her eyes were already out and she was crying tears of blood. I checked out the website: nedeswitness.occparanormal.com. The format looked like some papal Usenet site. A banner said: "Have you seen Nede? Please list your time.". I clicked on it and there was a question: "By which the papal forces conjure you to see Nede's cursed sin in bloody eyes, I swear to the Catholic Church that the pilgrimage of Nede has happened at this sinned time for no penance:". Yeah, not really a question.

There were three options: "12:00 am, 2:11 am, or 3:00 am?". I clicked 3:00 am and I was presented the full story of Nede:

"Nede Ullman was an ordinary 32-year-old woman. Nede died mysteriously at 32 in 1987 and came back as a ghost-demon in 2005. Nede Ullman is also known as SCP-9195.".

P.S. I tuned in to that channel and found him doing the Nede ritual again. Is Nede his wife? Just a theory.

THE END.
