Metroid Creepypasta

My favorite game as a kid was always Metroid. I played it almost non-stop on a classic Nintendo. I always loved to come in from the snow with my friends in the winter and taking turns playing the game. Sadly, a couple months after I had turned 17, there was a huge housefire, and I lost my dog and my Nintendo. In more recent times, I had visited my Dad's thrift shop in Florida. It was a decent store with a lot of old things in it. One day, I was browsing the store when I caught my eye on an old Nintendo system. Even better yet, they also had Metroid in the Media Section. My dad told me to keep it as a gift from him.

Later that night, I hooked up some old wires, tested the system, and then played the game. Once I turned on the system, the game's start screen popped up. I pressed start and the screen got darker. I pressed it again and it got even darker. By the time I had pressed it 6 times, the screen was blank. Then, I heard a loud ding, and the game started up. I passed it off as a glitch and went on.

A minute later, Samus went into a bomb, and just started flashing. The music was looping constantly as well. Then, some loud screeching sounds came from the surround sound. It resembled a heart monitor. It kept on beeping. "beep, beep, beep, beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee". It went into a state where the beep was just straight out, and never ending. It was like I had lost someone. Then I looked at the screen. Samus was just laying on the ground, blood surrounding her.

Just after 5 minutes of the endless beep, the screen went into seizure mode and started flashing. In between the flashes, I saw something. It looked like a picture of me. It wasn't even pixelated. It was very clear for an NES game. But that wasn't the point. How does it have a picture of me? Then the screen went black, followed by an ear-splitting beep. I was just agitated. I turned the game system off. The game kept running, and the controller was still functional.

The game then gave me a code. The code was just 7 digits. MICHAEL. That was my name. How did it know my name. Then that screen disappeared and up came a screen with Samus staring at me. The Brinstar Depths theme played slowly as Samus slowly got closer. She then slowly took off her helmet to reveal a face with no eyes and no mouth. Text on the screen popped up and said. "TURN BACK".

I was so scared I was crying softly. Then a picture of my family showed up. I was terrified. The screen showed us fading away. First Dad, then Mom, then my brother, and I didn't fade away completly. Only my flesh faded away, leaving me rotten bones and muscle. I felt sweat drip down my forehead as the screen said "You're Next".

I was scared to the bone. I thought this game is possessed. Then, a picture of Decapitated Samus showed up on screen, along with a shriek that was so loud that it made my ears bleed. Metroids showed up on screen, along with a completely bone Ridley. There was evil laughter, and then I couldn't take it. I yelled "LEAVE ME ALONE!" ,and with that, the image went off screen and the game stopped.

I thought that Metroid would be a fun game to play after a couple of years, but it turns out, it gave me nothing but trouble. I would never touch the system or the game again. I couldn't even search it on the internet I was so scared of it. And now in my dreams, I see that horrible picture of a decapitated Samus every night, hanging right next to my bed, watching me over.
