Minecraft Pumpkin Theory

Why don't Endermen get bothered when you look at them whilst wearing a pumpkin as a mask? The story they don't tell you, is why the pumpkins grow with faces of anguish on them.

My theory is simply that, the Endermen have always been in Minecraft. Ever since the beginning, and now in the End. The more Notch 'worked' on Minecraft, the easier it was for them to manifest outside of the End. In the beginning, all they could do was teleport to the surface for a few moments, in order to plant the 'Pumpkins' in fertile soil. Now, they've gotten to the point of being able to exit the end and run rampant on the overworld.

I say 'worked' on it because, I believe Minecraft to be sentient. It explains almost man made structures being around with seemingly no one else in the world.

Seemingly.

Who built the Villages for the Testificates? Who dug out and abandoned the mines we see today? I believe it to be the Miner who came before. The one who, I personally believe, lost his head to the Endermen. They attempted to grow a new breed of creature by planting the head in the ground. They had some success doing the same to snow and Iron, creating the Golems of each. They wanted something more, though. Something that could help them shape the world.

Something like you. You see, they see a man with the head of a Pumpkin, and they believe it to be the minion they were trying to create with so little success before. And what kind Master would hurt it's minion? But the thing I believe ties it all together perfectly is, quite simply, Notch dropping the game.

I believe that Notch knew all of this was occurring, and grew fearful of the actions of the Endermen. Why else would he have given up such a lucrative project for an unknown reason? He saw what it was, and he couldn't be a part of it anymore. He left.
