Mr. Mircis' Strange Case

I was just in my classroom when I looked through the window. There was another classroom... empty. The only thing I saw was a man. Brown hair, maybe a bit taller than me, blue smoking, etc. But I couldn't watch his face. His eyes were all blank. There wasn't any expression on his face (not even sadness). A bit like Herobrine, but... well, not Herobrine.

In the classroom was a board. I saw letters writing themselves. "Mr. Mircis, director". Well, actually, the director was named "Mr. Martin" (yeah, I'm French and I write in English... problem?). Anyway, my class fellow (we'll just name him McPherson because it's his name... okay, "thanks, Captain Obvious", fine...) well, I talked to him:

Me: Hey, McPherson, do you see that strange guy by the window?

McPherson: Huh, yeah, the man, over here? Of course. He's a bit scary. What's written on the board too.

Me: Yeah. Mr. Mircis... never heard this name before.

McPherson: Mircis? No, what is written on the board. Not that stupid urban legend.

I looked over the board. What was written was "Roll. Who's next on the list?" and the man looked normal, just had a black beard and red eyes.

Me: Huh... okay, but, what about the urban legend?

McPherson: Oh, you don't know it yet? It's the previous director. He died in an accident and...

Before he finished the sentence, the teacher looked at both of us and sent us to the CPE (French word). We were both definitely excluded for "knowing too much". I did a personnel search and found only one article: "The case of Mircis".

The deep web is full of interesting things... but this page was a 404 error. Next to the "404 error" logo was a picture. A round shaped thing which was written on it "Police française - Investigations en cours". Now, the page doesn't exist anymore. It's been replaced by "It Wasn't Lavender Town". There is something wrong with this page. Just find out the meaning or figure it out.
