Mr. Shadow
As most of you do know I am researching the Mr. Shadow phenomenon. I decided to start this research once I wrote Shadow in My Dream. Needless to say I have stumbled upon some interesting research that maybe of interest to others and once I have this whole project put together I'll compile it all in one big pasta.
Let's start by saying that I didn't come across anything that indicated some paranormal being that goes by the name Mr. Shadow that was after all only the name I gave him. I did on the other hand, come across something that is very similar. Shadow people, which is quite possibly the closest representation of this being.
Shadow people have the tendency to hide in a person's peripheral vision. They always appear in the form of a silhouette of a human figure and most of the time take on the appearance of children but adults are not unheard of, although rare. Witnesses have reported getting the feeling of someone watching them and like myself have stated that they suffer from severe illness after contact with these beings. Still there are those who claim that these shadow people are guardian angels just out to guide and protect us.
At first many paranormal experts thought that these strange entities were nothing more than ghost but once they did further research they found a new theory. Many claim that they are inter-dimensional beings that don't really belong here.
Another trait that this paranormal creature seems to have in common to other paranormal creatures of his type is that of a bogeyman. All of his frustrations are focus in on children. In the creepypasta circles one of most popular of these entities is the Slenderman, which drags children off into his dark woods to kill them in a horrible fashion. Although around the world there are entities that have similar qualities. Such as The Small Man, who if he catches children out past sundown will turn them into small people just like him or my personal favorite the Coconut Man, which even has his own nursery rhyme like my Mr. Shadow.
Go to sleep child, go to sleep now.
The Coconut Man will come and eat you.
I am going continue researching this topic. In fact, I think I'll do some investigating into at least the shadow people element of this phenomenon. There have been reports of shadow people darting around an old farm house just outside of town. Maybe I'll catch a glimpse of one.
