My Herobrine Encounter

Herobrine staring back at me in the cave we found in the crater

It was an average day on my server. My friends and I were in the middle of building what would hopefully be the biggest mansion ever to be built.

One of my friends had built a Herobrine summoner beneath the house. He was obsessed with finding Herobrine, and I didn't believe in Herobrine...until what happened next.

While I was in the middle of constructing my master bedroom (we all made different master bedrooms in the mansion), I heard the sound of TNT being lit. I quickly punched a hole in my wall and jumped out just as a massive explosion blew up the bottom of the house. My friends and I were furious and all of us denied putting any TNT around the house.

Over the Skype calls, which was how we were communicating, my friend sounded scared. He thought it was Herobrine that had done it. None of us believed him, until he pointed out that the Herobrine summoner that he built under the house was not damaged at all. In the crater that the blast created, the summoner was directly in the middle of it, and nothing had damaged it. That's when we knew something was up. All of us had never downloaded any mods or plugins except for toomanyitems.

We explored the crater and found a small tunnel, 2 blocks high and 1 block wide, with a redstone torch above it. At this point, we are all freaking out, not sure what to expect. We decided to go in all at once. As we went it got darker, so we put up some torches to see. About what seemed to be about 5 min of straight walking, we came across 2 Endermen. It wasn't easy to kill them with our enchanted diamond swords for some reason. We had lost a lot of hearts. We kept going until I saw another Minecraft player standing off in the darkness of the cave. He had no username above him, and he had the default skin, but with white glowing eyes.

He held a diamond pickaxe. He started moving toward us, and that's when we immediately started running backwards. At one point I turned around to see that he was still chasing us, but he had gained on me, because I was in the back of the group. I took a screenshot while running, and that screenshot is the picture above. As I was watching him, I fell into a big hole in the tunnel that definitely wasn't there when we first walked into the cave. My friends had also fallen into the hole, because when I turned around, there they were, falling as I was.

We landed in a room filled with obsidian. The landing left all of us with a half a heart left. Then the player with no username dropped down, but he didn't turn red from taking damage from the fall. He filled the hole that we fell out of with obsidian. Then Endermen spawned all around us, and began attacking us. My friend died from their attacks, but when he died, his Skype name went offline. Same happened with two of my friends. My friend that was obsessed with Herobrine and I were the only ones that were left. We killed all of the remaining Endermen, then it was only the unknown player left. My friend told me that the player we were looking at was in fact Herobrine.

A message popped up in the chat box: Only God can save you now. The player tag read Herobrine. When my friend saw this, he began screaming over Skype. I kept yelling at him to shut up, but he didn't seem to hear me as he turned around and tried digging his way out of the obsidian, which obviously didn't work. Herobrine went over to my friend and killed him with his pickaxe. A second later, it said that he had left the game. The next second, his screaming stopped. I checked the Skype call to see that he was offline also.

I went back to Minecraft only to see that Herobrine was staring straight at me. I sent a message: Who are you? He replied: HIM. I said: yea rite phony im banning u. I went to ban him, only I couldn't, it wouldn't let me. He messaged back: FOOL. He came over and it me with his pickaxe. The instant he hit me, my entire computer crashed. At that point, I was definitely freaking out. I finally believed in Herobrine.

I rebooted my computer and restarted the Skype call and the Minecraft server about 10 minutes later. My friends were already rebuilding the parts of the mansion that were destroyed in the TNT explosion. They were clearly scared. They told me they had filled up the cave and destroyed the Herobrine spawner. As they placed the final block of the mansion bottom, then took me to a room about 20 blocks down that was filled with bedock. They said that this would be the safety room, just in case of another Herobrine encounter. We all hoped that it would happen again.

If anyone would come on my server today, you would see in the middle of the town a gigantic house. That would be our supposedly biggest mansion ever built on Minecraft. We finally completed the 20 floors of the mansion about a month ago. In the main room of the mansion, there is a statue of Herobrine, to remember that horrific encounter. We left the block of netherrack used to make the spawner underneath the house, and we left one block of the base of the mansion unplaced to remind us of one of the scariest, yet widely unknown, Herobrine encounters ever experienced.
