My Spawn

About two years ago I found this game, Minecraft.

Minecraft is one of my favorite games, I play it all the time and I found it by watching a YouTube video of someone playing classic mode.

One day on my way back from school I met my friend who I hadn't seen in ages while he was shopping since his school ends earlier than mine. I was talking to him for a bit about old memories and then I asked him if he had heard about a game called Minecraft. He had, of course, and told me about the Halloween update. Afterwards I went home and updated Minecraft to play the new update but it just said "MEM OVERLOAD, PLEASE CONTACT *jumbled characters* MOJANG GROUP" whenever I tried to run it. I deleted the .minecraft folder in the %appdata% folder and reloaded it and it worked fine, but it deleted my worlds and I had to create a new one. I started it up to find myself in the Nether. This was odd because you never spawn in the Nether but I just disregarded it and went exploring, not realising that it was in fact impossible to spawn in the nether. I couldn't find a portal back home so I killed myself and respawned back in the nether but in a different place altogether. I created a new world and I spawned regularly except whenever I went near my spawn point I could hear portal sounds. No matter where I looked there was no portal anywhere. I went into my .minecraft folder to look for the world file but it wasn't there. It was only visible and accessible through the game, meaning I couldn't share it with my friend or anyone else.

Since then every one of my worlds up until the Beta update had portal sounds near spawn but when I gave the world file to my friend he couldn't hear them. I realised it was my minecraft client. when the first Beta update came the same message, "MEM OVERLOAD, PLEASE CONTACT *jumbled characters* MOJANG GROUP" appeared, except the jumbled characters where no longer jumbled. they said NETHER in slightly italic letters. Next what appeared on the screen was quite scary. it said /..V./missingmessage044065//n./ in orange text against a blue background. I wrote it down and clicked the screen and the text faded away until all there was was blue. The screen flashed for about 6 seconds and made a high pitch static noise with the faint sound of a minecraft door opening and a voice saying something along the lines of "CARD" and "THIRTEEN OASIS". The game started without showing the Mojang symbol and it never happened again.
