OBEY THE BEAST.exe
It was a silent Thursday night in my small apartment room, and I was alone. The only thing to accompany me was my glowing computer monitor. I was browsing my favorite websites, like YouTube and 4Chan. While watching the latest Shirtfag video I noticed a thumbnail that had Russian letters and a picture of a skinny man. What really caught my eye was the view count: Over 800 million.
I laughed because I had seen almost every viral video on YouTube and I couldn't believe I hadn't seen this one before. I was a little skeptical about clicking on the video because I hadn't EVER heard of a video with that many views, but my curiosity got the best of me, so I clicked it. The video started with Russian text displayed like Windows Movie Maker video with a blue background with very distorted music. After about 50 seconds pure of text, a man appeared standing in a driveway, staring at the camera. As I sat there, not impressed, I noticed that the man had very overgrown fingernails, at least 5 inches in length. As I leaned in to get a closer look, the man started to claw at his own face. I reeled back as I saw that he was actually drawing blood and pulling skin from his cheeks. The music suddenly cut out and he muttered in English, "Obey or pay."
Feeling a little uneasy, I scrolled to the comments, I might as well hadn't because they were all in Russian. As I scrolled back up, I noticed a link in the description, and stupidly clicked it. A new page opened that took quite a while to load, but when it did, all that was displayed on the page was a download link. Having no internet safety enabled, the download started automatically. But what was odd was that I hadn't clicked Save or Run. It just started to download to my desktop. The file was finished in 20 seconds and I went to my desktop to open it. To be safe, I turned on my spyware protection before clicking the file. The file opened and a message was displayed that read, "Obeying keeps the sanity alive."
Now very creeped out, I went to close the program but huge red letters popped up, saying, "CLOSING WILL RESULT IN ULTIMATE DESTRUCTION OF YOUR PC. SO PLEASE, STAY FOR A WHILE =). " I was freaking out now. I reached under my desk and held down the power button. My computer flashed and shut off, but suddenly, more red text appeared reading, "WHY? I TOLD YOU WHAT WOULD HAPPEN IF YOU DID THAT... OH BY THE WAY, YOUR IP ADDRESS IS ______________ AND YOUR ADDRESS IS__________________. THOUGHT YOU CLOSED THE PROGRAM QUICK ENOUGH? YOU'RE SADLY MISTAKEN. HEY GO TO YOUR WINDOW AND LOOK OUTSIDE. REMEMBER... BELIEVE. GOOD LUCK. FROM MIKEHEL TRENTOV."
I was shivering. I decided it best to go to the window and look. As I stood up, I heard a crashing behind me. I spun around and heard from the hallway, "Always Obey." I blacked out.
I woke up in a hospital and demanded answers. A nice police officer told me that the neighbors complained that there was a very loud noise coming from my apartment that sounded like a gurgling. When the cop arrived he found me passed out on the ground, covered in blood, with my fingernails ripped out. He quickly alerted the paramedics. I am writing this to alert everyone to never download or open "OBEY THE BEAST.exe." The police are trying to track the IP of this... this psychopath... Please listen to me.

Hello, This is a note from the New York Police Department Head Desk. This case is very extreme and has been taken into account of the FBI. Mr. Simons, the author of his encounter wth this hacker has passed away from the injuries he sustained. So far, this is the first report of a murder from the video link. We have contacted YouTube, asking them to remove the video, but they say the encryption is too strong. Please be aware and know we are doing everything in our power to stop this. Thank you.
