Peppa Pig Fascism Theory

A story mocking bizarre fan theories that float around the web about innocent kid shows

My favorite character in Peppa Pig has to be Tiddles, Miss Hamster's pet tortoise in Peppa pig. Although my choice might be baseless, to troll, or even stupid, there is a certain philosophy behind Tiddles that one cannot overlook. When you dive deeper into what Tiddles represents, you uncover Peppa pig's hidden reality: it is a fascist environment encouraging disgraceful behavior such as segregation, oppression, and stereotypes towards the lower class. Again, that might sound foolish, but here's the main question. Why are some animals wearing clothes and shoes, walking like humans, using credit cards, etc., while others stay like animals, crawling, pooping on the floor, etc. When you look at the "human-like" animals, you can notice that all of them are mammals (pigs, sheep, wolves, zebras, ponies, cats, rabbits). On the other end of the spectrum, you have the animals that "stay" like animals (parrot, tortoise, lizard, goldfish, gecko, etc.). These animals are lizards, birds, fish, anything but mammals. This exposes the hidden truth behind the fun and games the show brings. In reality, Peppa pig is a post-apocalyptic dystopia occurring after the extinction of mankind, as shown by the absence of apes and humans throughout the show. The mammals, instead of reconstructing an utopia for all animals to live in harmony, decided to take the place of their occupiers at the top of the food chain. The rest of the animals are there to fill the role that the mammals previously held: livestock and pets. We can see that one of Peppa pig's favorite foods is spaghetti, pancakes, and cakes, which are made out of eggs, something a chicken (not a mammal) lays. Speaking of chickens, doesn't Granny pig have 4 pet chickens that lay eggs during certain episodes?

Tiddles is a great example of the segregation between mammals and other animals, demonstrating perfectly the "foolish" stereotype generally represented by upper classes (Episode 29, Season 3). He often gets lost, stuck in a tree, and shows zero emotion, unlike the main characters. Tiddles, just like Miss Hamster's other pets, are demonstrated as stupid, and a laughing stock. Tiddles demonstrates perfectly three of the main aspects of fascism present in Peppa's reality. First of all, if it wasn't obvious enough, mammals are clearly the privileged "race" in this equation. It is also a totalitarian society controlled by the mammals as stated before, it discriminates against the lower class by portraying non-mammals like idiots. Thirdly, it demonstrates forcible suppression by Miss Hamster; she keeps Tiddles and her other pets caged and boxed. In conclusion, Tiddles is my favorite character ever in any tv show or movie because he is a huge element of symbolism in Peppa pig's not so wonderful world. He brings to light the true reality of the universe he lives in, and the injustices he must face day to day.
