Pixel Tears
Hello. My name's Matthew. I live in an old town beetween the states Utah and Arizona. I belong to a very christian family, but I don't beleive in god as much as my parents do. A few years ago my uncle died, who I never met before. It's really sad that I can olny meet him at the graveyard.
I've been playing a game called "Minecraft"- a game which quickly became famouse. I love everything about it. The design, the gameplay, It's a game that shows players that graphics don't matter. Your imagionation does. My first time playing was a little... creepy. As I didin't know anything about the game back on 1.3 Beta, I didin't know what to do. I wondered in a cave. Not very deep since I didn't have a light source. I saw something deep inside the cave. A glow. I decided to check it out. Before I got to the place, it vanished. Then, I heared a "Urg". A sound that a player makes when it's hurt. I was the one getting hurt. Before I turned around the screen went red with the "Game Over" text, showing your score. The score was just a text, no numbers, just this text: "N3v3r l00k B^<K". After a short time I knew it said Never look back. As I found it creepy, I decided to search up the Minecraft Wiki - Everything over there said there is olny one buggy score which is &e0. I even searched the fourm I'm WAS on by the name of Lycosa Gaming Community. Everyone said I was trying to rip off a story of some "Herobrine". I checked it out, heck, the story was scary. I tought that it was him who made me game over,
I was wrong.
After that I didn't touch the game. When Beta 1.4 came out with the new fetures such as the Cookie and Wolf, I decided: "It is a fun game, I shouldn't give up on it after a silly accident". This time I had more knowladge. I started collecting wood, making tools, mining coal and iron and I made a shelter in a very cool mountain. When I was making my home bigger, I fell into a cave. Much like the one I saw in Beta 1.3. Out of the cave came a skeleton. I hit it a few times with my sword and something strange happend. 64 bones came out of it. 64. That wasn't normal, as the skeleton gives from 0 to 2 bones and 0 to 2 arrows. I tought it must be a bug. I blocked the cave with some spare cobblestone and lit a torch on it. It automaticly changed to a redstone torch. The nex day I went outside and found a wolf! I was happy, I could finaly have a pet that would always be by my side. In reality, I had a dog named Sparky. He died for an unknown cause. He was olny 2 years old... I gave the pixel dog a bone and it became my friend. I took him to my shelter, and since it was getting late, I went to sleep. The other day my dog was gone. Not olny him, but my chest, my toolbox, even my inventory. And the cobblestone was broken. I had enough of all this. I went into the cave. and found the fainted body of my doggy. It lied like buggy mobs that lie down and don't dissapear after death. When I looked up, I saw another player. It wasn't what they described - "Default Skin with crystal white eyes". He was... he wasn't actually. I could olny see 2 eyes with red dots comming out of them. I asume it was blood. It looked very realistic for a game with these kinds of graphics. He was just looking at me. As anyone else would, I hit the F2 button to make a screenshot. After I did that, he vanished. I wanted to go back to my shelter, but he was there. And then the Game Over screen poped out once again. This thime, the score said: "1 70LD Y0U T0 N3V3r L00k B^<k1" At this point, I was not scared, but frightend. This wasn't a mob. This wasn't even coded into the game. I just wanted to turn off my laptop and never play this game again, but something told me to keep on going. As I respawned, It looked as if I spawned into a new world. My spawn was in a bedrock room with signs. The olny thing that was writen on the signs was: "CRY BEFORE I START CRYING". That was written over and over and over again. I wanted to check around the room to find some kind of exit, but when I turned around, I died again. I kept on spawing in that room. Every time I wanted to take a look around the room I died. The game over screen kept on apearing, and there was no Main menu button. The score always said: "D0N'1 L3^V3 ME". After a few tries I wanted to close my Minecraft. As I clicked the X button, Messages started poping out from websites from all around the internet. From Facebook, a big message popped out saying "GOING NOW?" From twitter: "YOU'RE LEAVING ME". From google: "LET ME EXIT FOR YOU". And then my computer shut down. When I wanted to turn on my computer, it wouldn't. I'm currently writing this to keep my sanity. It's Beta 1.8.1 now, but I still remember that dreadfull Virus. As I do not know nothing about this character, I Named it Question Mark. Or ? for short. I'm writing this for you, to watch out from anyone, and most importent...
