Ratatouille Is Anti-Landlord Propaganda

In the movie, the rats are depicted as opportunistic scavengers who live in the sewers and rely on the scraps and leftovers from the humans above. They do not produce anything of their own, but instead live off the value created by the humans. This is similar to how landlords often do not contribute to the creation of value but instead profit from the labor and resources of others.

Just as the rats in the movie are able to use their intelligence and resourcefulness to access the value created by the humans, landlords are able to use their power and influence to extract value from those who produce it. For example, they may own and control land or resources that are necessary for farmers to produce crops, and charge them rent or other fees in order to access those resources.
