Sonic the Hedgehog. To me, one of the most favorable video game series of all time. I have been a fan of Sonic ever since Nintendo and SEGA were in the Console Wars back in 1990. The classic Sonic the Hedgehog games were my favorites, such as Sonic 2 and Sonic 3 & Knuckles. I also like the new games too. I even like Sonic 06 a little bit, just because of the music. Sonic Lost World at least wasn't as bad as Sonic Labrynth. Ugh. But my most favorite Sonic game is Sonic 3 & Knuckles, but mostly Sonic & Knuckles itself. It has lock-on technology, and you play as Knuckles! How awesome is that?! But, one day, I witnessed a horrifying game. It all started on October 4th, 2014, my favorite month of the year, when I was just looking up Sonic images for a Sonic game I'm making with Game Maker 8. I then found an image of the Sonic & Knuckles title screen with bold black text on the front saying "DOWNLOAD GAME". I clicked on the image and visited the site. For some reason, it was a wikia page with nothing but the home page, which has a download link for Sonic & Knuckles, which the blue link text says "DOWNLOAD". The website is www.sonicdownloadgamesforfree.wikia.com, if you wanna know what it looks like. I clicked the link and the computer downloaded a zip file with no warning. I opened up the zip file which contains a SEGA Genesis Emulator (as an unknown file that is named .sega) and an .exe file of Sonic and Knuckles. The icon was a custom 16-bit Sonic head that looks like it was made by someone who knew Sonic was, not a fan. The SEGA Emulator icon was just SEGA's "S" gold. I clicked on the .sega file and an error window popped up. The bar at the top said "Error 666". Oh no, I think something's wrong. I mean, I have seen other creepypastas using this cliche number, except that I am the author of this pasta- er well-- never mind that. The error was it couldn't find Sonic's corpse, and I need to find a new document. I was thinking, "God, this thing is terrifying." I clicked Cancel and the error went away. Phew! Anyways, I clicked on the .exe file of Sonic and Knuckles. A gray box with white text appeared saying "Downloading Sonic & Knuckles ROM...", which was weird, considering the fact the emulator was a piece of crap and just spammed errors. After a few seconds, another gray box appeared saying a pleasant couple sentences: "Thank you for downloading Sonic and Knuckles for PC! Would you like to combine Sonic 3 for the full game?" Even though I like S&K alone, I also like the full Sonic 3 as well. I clicked the option OK (which was the only option available), and ANOTHER gray box with white text says "Downloading... Please Wait..." I waited, and then the grey box turned red for a second, then back to gray, and turned into red static covering the download. The SEGA logo appeared with a white background, but it was reversed and flipped upside down. The SEGA jingle was just a Sonic 1 sound effect were you run out of oxygen and drown, followed by the SEGA jingle played in reverse and slowed down by 100%. The screen faded and popped up to the title screen. It was weird.

Sonic, Tails, and Knuckles had their Sonic Advance 2 falling sprites with all of them having red shining pupils without any eyes, and they cried tears of blood. The modern SONIC logo was there, but in red. The music playing was the Sonic 3 Eggman boss theme in reverse, and the background was a realistic maniac Sonic with red pupils, crying tears of blood, and no eyes. I pressed enter and the Sonic 1 Green Hill Zone title card popped up, but the title card was all glitched up, with missing parts of the logo being repeated on front of the title card.

The screen popped up in Green Hill Zone, with Tails there. Tails was looking at the screen, really sad and blinking every second and a half to try not to cry in front of me, even though I can see it in his eyes. I made him walk forward, as there was nothing but trees, Tails, and that cringing music, which was Green Hill Zone's music in reverse. Then at the end of the level, there was Sonic standing at the end. I made Tails touch Sonic, and Sonic began running the other way. I made him chase after him, but Sonic was to fast and easily bolted out of Tails's view. After 20 seconds, Sonic came flying towards Tails, looking like that psychopath from the title screen, and teleported to a level were the water was red and the Green Hill Zone looked more like it was in Autumn, and the sky was dark. I made Tails move right, and noticed giant red spikes (looking like the sprite is from Sonic 4 because of it's quality) moving toward my way. So I went the other way, and more spikes came toward from that direction, then after a couple minutes, Tails was trapped, and the two spikes was about to collide to each other. Luckily (maybe), it didn't show Tails's death, instead, it just went to the next level.

The title card said "My Friend Is Dead Act 666". Oh, for the love of god! Stop with the god damn numbers! It's getting old! And an image flashed for a split second, which looked like Sonic from the beginning of this twisted game. The level came. I was playing as Knuckles, in Angel Island Zone when it caught on fire. The music sounded like sad piano music. Knuckles had a frown and looked a bit paranoid. I made him move right, and I found Sonic. Sonic was normal, but he was crying what was in front of him. I walked forward, and I found something terrifying. It was Tails, his position was if he got hit by an enemy when he had rings, and Tails's eyes were missing, as he had tears of blood. A pole went trough his dead body. I cried to tears. Tails was my favorite Sonic character. I made Knuckles go to Sonic. Sonic turned around and said "Please, Knuckles. Help me find what happened. Tails is dead." It sounded like the actual Jaleel White voice of Sonic from the DiC cartoons actually said it. Sonic then ducked and started sobbing. Knuckles now was sad, trying to hold in crying. I made him go right, and there was nothing but dead woodland creatures. Eyeballs popped out, intestines shoved down their throats, and missing parts shoved down their damaged organs. And they were motionless, lying there. For some reason, half-way through the level, the level glitched up to red static. I made him go back if Sonic was there to help him. I found Sonic and Tails, but they looked different. Sonic had a wide yellow, dirty grin, laughing. He, again, looked like he was from the beginning of the game. Tails also had a wide smile and red pupils, no eyes, and tears of blood like the sprites from the beginning. Tails was sitting on (Morden) Amy Rose's decapitated head, as Amy had no eyes. I made Knuckles try to hit them, but then, Knuckles began to fall, and quickly he got hit by spikes.

Another title card popped up. It read "R.I.P. Act all of my friends". Then, the level started. I was playing as Robotnik, and he was looking at the screen crying. The level was Chemical Plant Zone. The music was the music from the title of the Sally.exe fangame (and yes, I know there's a fangame of this story), and I made Robotnik move forward. I knew something was there, so I went back to avoid it. Sonic and Tails from the Knuckles level went straight towards Robotnik on the tornado. The tornado caught Robotnik and a new level appeared.

I was playing as Sonic's silhouette in a red level without anything. I made Sonic move forward, and he easily was running like back in Tails's level. I then found silhouettes of Tails, Knuckles, and Robotnik's dead bodies on a pole, for each one of them. A chill went down my back, and continued on. I then found Tails Doll, not a silhouette, but a custom made sprite that looks like it was made from Tails's idle sprite from the first level. Tails doll looked like he had black eyes with red glowing pupils, and blood running down the eyes. You know, this thing is getting sort of old. At first it was scary, but then it's getting overused. You are sure "scary", game. I made Sonic touch Tails Doll. Tails Doll disappeared in black smoke, and Sonic transformed into his normal sprite, but he had black eyes and no mouth. I made him move forward, and he walked instead of running. Then glitched up dead flickies appeared. After 40 seconds of walking, a silhouette of the big special stage ring was there. I made Sonic move into the ring. The music stopped, the background became pitch black, and Sonic now looked like what he was in Sonic 4. The real model of Sonic of his idle and his running animation in very high quality, so I made Sonic move forward. Then red spikes moved toward Sonic. And the game ended. My computer turned off, then on, then my computer was having a seizure! My computer's screen broke, with glass breaking out of my screen! My Sonic Boom talking plushie was right beside me. I grabbed it and wondered, "What happened?". My plushie then said "Don't worry, Mike, I'm sure that demon will burn in hell. It's OK. I'm sure we're alright.".
