Sonic's last laugh

Through various means, you have obtained a video game rumored to be haunted by some malicious entity. Others have warned you of the potential dangers lurking within this game. However, you disregard this all this as curiosity and a gamer's spirit drive you forward. The cover is heavily worn out, the only legible text being the title written in faint marker. It reads... 'sonic'

You start playing Sonic the Hedgehog, excited to play the game at hand. However, you soon notice the Starting Screen is the one for Sonic the Hedgehog 06, a game that is known to be a complete unplayable nightmare. But wait... what's that? The game's beginning cutscene is completely different than any recorded footage!

Your game controller begins glowing ominously. Your body is wracked with pain, your innards screaming and writhing in agony. Your organs fail as you collapse to the floor in a bloody heap, your consciousness flickering and fading away at the thought of Sonic 06. The police arrive to the scene, only to find a tragic and unexpected end to your life. You are pronounced dead, never having been able to finish the haunted video game. Your soul, however, is trapped in the game, now doomed to play Sonic 06 for eternity.

With the soul of an innocent gamer trapped within, Sonic 06 becomes a vile and disturbing game. Your consciousness takes control of Sonicland, enslaving the inhabitants and establishing a brutal regime of hatred and bigotry. The game is now filled with jumpscares, gore, and Nazi imagery, creating a horrific abomination that will leave any who play it in a state of perpetual mental torment. Those caught in the clutches of Sonic 06 will be subject to the wrath of the new fascist regime under Sonic the Hedgehog. However, with your influence, the story and tone of Sonic the Hedgehog 06 change drastically, becoming a brilliant critique of right-wing authoritarianism and a poignant condemnation of hatred and fascism. You have saved the day.
