Sonic Adventure 2 Beta
My name is Michael Hunteen. I am a collector of all things retro. Recently, I was at my local thrift store, and found a Dreamcast. Yes, a full fledged Dreamcast. For some reason, it was in the best condition it could possibly be in. Alongside it was... A CD. It was in a case, and the case had red sharpie on it (Or at least it looked like Sharpie, definitely didn't smell like it though). SONIC ADVENTURE 2 BETA. What? A beta disc of the SA2 Beta? In the beta beta tbetrhshsdfa?!?!? I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw this in the store. It also came with a few more games and controllers, each were mint. I took them down to the counter and asked the guy at the register how much it was. He just... froze in fear and said "Just take it! It's free! Please!". Odd, but, ok, who wouldn't take a free Dreamcast?
I went back to my house. I plugged the Dreamcast into a late 90s TV I found in my attic and tested it. Everything was working fine. So then I popped in Sonic Shuffle and it worked correctly. After testing the other games, I was left with the SA2 beta. I popped the disc in and started.
It started off with a black screen. I heard a scream as red splattered on to the black screen. I thought to myself: What the fuck? This is a Sonic game, isn't this a kid series?. The title screen showed Sonic Adventure 2: Nightmare. Seems like the original title had Nightmare in it.
I pressed start and it had a player select instead of story select. I could play as Sonic, Knuckles, and Eggman. Strangely, there were twl blank spts were 2 other playable characters should be. I assumed these were placeholders. I assumed that the 4th slot was Shadow, he's my favorite, so I picked it.
It loaded me as... Oh my god, is that the early Shadow the Hedgehog? Terios?! I couldn't believe it. It loaded me in the test stage of all things. I ran around endlessly until a blue blur ran towards Terios and red went everywhere. It was Metal Sonic. Did Terios get killed? This is a kids game... Or not, I guess. Metal Sonic then came out of the screen and killed me and there was hyper-realistic blood everyewhererererhere!!!!! OHO H IZFDS NFDS N ASR SDFSDFSDFHSJDH AND I BLED OUT AND MY MOTHER CAME IN AND METAL SONIC SAID "YOUR MOM" AND KILLED EVERYONE THEN THE WORLD TURNED INTO A GIANT METAL SONIC ICE STATUE AND EVERYONE WAS METAL SONIC!FRTHUKDJGHKUSADFKD HKFLJAHRSDLIUG ASEIYRHOSHR EWGIUKRY OIWQE RUEIRIWECYRUDKYSCEJ YFUJUYENJYNDU FGYURDHIUJGDV
