SpongeBob SquarePants - The Asylum
Dude, there are no words to describe how my feeling seeing this episode was horrible.
It all started when my friends and I were working animators on Nickelodeon for the upcoming episodes of SpongeBob's tenth season quietly, when it was already lunchtime and as I was too greedy, I always brought one of those Big Mac hamburgers I bought at McDonald's always pretending to be made by SpongeBob in there, and still put jelly on top thinking it was jelly of living water that I had extracted myself! How silly it was at the time ... But, everything changed, as I was making one more of my humor jokes in the cafeteria with everyone, when suddenly there was a loud screaming in the door that led to a test room, where the Reviewers of the series could see if the episode was in order. So while everyone in the cafeteria (including the shopkeepers) listened to the fight, a sinister guy came out of there, agonizing, the reviewers with something that seemed to be a sack of vomit, also crying, and of course, the show's creator, Stephen Hillenburg, crying a lot and shouting things like (HOW DO YOU HAVE THE COURAGE OF DOING THIS, YOUR MONSTER ?!) and (IS DEMOCTOOUS !!!) while crying intensely and talking to himself. Then the sinister guy picks up a snack he had stored inside his backpack, and then tries to find some to sit on, and ironically, because of the fight he had with Hillenburg, no one wanted him to sit anywhere near them. But I wanted to. After a quick fight with my friends, they finally agreed to let him sit with us, something that was only decided when he was about to leave and go home. Then he sits down slowly, and then we could see what he was like: he had a rather deep look and an emo-like look, in addition to a dark jacket and leather pants. And he ate his chocolate cake, with a strange red syrup that looked like blood, but thicker and darker. After a while, we started talking to that guy, and we discovered that his name was Mike, and he loved things that were scary (he had even heard of Squidward's Suicide, a famous creepypasta on the internet) and he loved horror games like Outlast (Which should have led him to make the episode) and Sonic.exe, which to my friends was scary, but for me, it was something "significant" to say so, because I also currently play Outlast, but I was never taken to Do things like that, at most if you were depressed. Then, after a long conversation, it turned out that lunch time was over, and it was time to go back to the animation studio. But when I was at the studio door, Mike grabs my back and starts to cry (something any emo would do) with something that looked like a DVD in his hands. After an interminable crying session, he finally stops crying, and distressed that he will be fired from the company of his dreams, he says something very strange to me:
"Take this episode and tell me what you think of it, I think you'll like it ..."
He had not given himself enough time to finish what he was about to say, as the police grabbed him and dragged him to the police station to clear the case. But he threw the cloak and everything down so he could see it later. Then he looks at me with a depressing face. Then I set the record on the cover, hid it between my hands and went back to the room where I work, to find out later my worst.
When I finally entered the house, I decided to watch the DVD while I was preparing my dinner (since I was single at the time) and then I inserted the disc into my DVD player I had, and went back to the kitchen, and when I came back into the room , Strangely the reader had stopped working and had been turned off. When I turned it back on, the player's home screen had been replaced by a black screen with something that looked like blurred blood behind it, but I ignored it thinking it was a glitch on the DVD and then I decided to watch it on my PlayStation 2 while I ate dinner and I was hoping, meanwhile, I would see the DVD cover, which was something very strange for a common episode of SpongeBob: The cover was all white, and there was only SpongeBob around in the center with a kitchen knife, If you were quite worried for me, and perhaps a little distressed, and above, the logo of the drawing. Looking at the back of the hood, there was nothing but Bob's arm stretched out, and very dry, even to his skin, and also, alongside his arm, an image of his family, dirty with something that looks Be blood cartoon.
I was already a little worried about the situation, thinking "What happened to SpongeBob's parents?" All the time, and my answer was resolved when the DVD finally loaded for endless 12 seconds after the introduction of the PlayStation 2.
I started to devour my dinner while the SpongeBob intro started, but it seemed, very, very strange and different from what we are used to seeing. The scenery was terribly dark, gloomy, and there were words written in very dark blood that flowed very slowly if the scene was looped in VirtualDJ or something. On top of all this, SpongeBob was seen with a face of concern and fear, as if predicting horrible things about him.
After Bob uses his flute, still worried, the scene literally hangs on the screen "Created by Stephen Hillenburg" for 7 seconds until you see a frustrated attempt to apply a badly redressed jumpscare in an editing program, something awful that nobody wanted Have as wallpaper, I only discovered seeing frame by frame in Sony Vegas, which was the game over screen of Sonic.exe, but in 3D, and Sonic seemed to have much smaller teeth and a snake tongue, and the phrase "I AM GOD" was not visible.
Curiously, the animation seemed to be identical to the episode "Fear of a Krabby Patty".
Then, the title card of the episode appears instantly after the "jumpscare" without sound; The name of the episode was "The Asylum," which was written in a bloody red cartune, and in the background there was only a black screen. The background music was something very strange, as it was a shorter version of the song "Fates" of the series, that always touched when something bad happened in the series. Then come the traditional bubbles used in the series, which stop at the front view of SpongeBob's house in a happy and happy tone. Then we entered into the house, where we can see SpongeBob, talking on the phone with his parents, who decided to visit him for his joy. After closing the phone, he begins to clean his house for his parents while singing a horrible song that bleeds my ears.
The music was so bad that it annoyed Squidward, as usual, but he was much angrier than usual, because besides screaming like he was dying, he tore off part of his brown blouse. Then Squidward, furiously goes to the house of SpongeBob and knocks the door with such a brutal force was able to knead it. Bob instantly meets Squidward, however, Bob did not seem happier, as at first, he seemed nervous, sweating and trying to make him calm. SpongeBob asks, stammering "Um, Squid, you do not do that again with me ... do you?" And Squidward simply closes the door hard, knocking Bob to the ground and making him faint.
When SpongeBob wakes up, he thinks it was all a nightmare (and I thought so too) and calm down. When he gets up, his parents were already at the door ringing the bell. Bob cheerfully greets his parents and tenderly begs them to sit while Bob prepares tea and a delicious chocolate cake. But he forgets an ingredient and asks for permission to go to the grocery store while his parents have tea. Then things started to get weird with the episode;
There is simply a SpongeBob loop walking on the sidewalk for 3 minutes, until finally strange things happen: as SpongeBob walked, the scenery grew darker and darker. Bob looked at the horizon and saw strange things happen, for example, the sky that became every red as blood, and the inhabitants of the Bikini Bottom killed in a kind of massacre.
It started with Tom (the guy who shouts "CHOCOLATE !!!" all the time) half dead, almost dead, bleeding absurdly through his mouth and nose, trying to speak and breathe, but he could not do it because he was almost drowned of blood. SpongeBob gets scared, and starts to turn around to his house. Then he begins to sweat and worry about his parents and his soul. The sky seemed more and more red and dark to the point of becoming almost black. The next guy was Fred, who always said "MY LEG !!!" Was found by Bob hanging on the door of SpongeBob's house with something seemed to be his bowels and his lung tied at the door, and incredibly he still seemed alive as his lungs stretched and his broken trachea still seemed to move slowly, and the eyes of Fred was still a little open, about to close with the pain he suffered.
I began to feel sick with this scene, and when Fred was presented dead like that at the door of SpongeBob's house, I vomited just as he also vomited on the scene, albeit more quickly.
I paused the episode, and I was thinking, "What kind of monster would do that?" And why would it do that? It's almost like Sonic.exe !!! " And I was undecided whether I wanted to continue or not while cleaning my vomit in the living room, but out of sheer curiosity I wanted to continue to watch this atrocity.
Back on the PlayStation 2, Bob then decides to enter the house through the back door and leave Fred there, suffering. When Bob walks in, a huge pool of blood knocks him to the ground, and then suddenly there is a horribly loud and realistic scream, as if someone was dying inside a morgue by lethal injection, followed by a deep demonic chuckle. Resembles that of Freddy Fazbear (only fans will note the reference). Then SpongeBob calmly climbs the stairs leading to his bedroom, from where the horrible screams came, and then the scene cuts to the 4 second loop of his feet more and more covered with a more realistic dark blood flowing from the room. Then you see SpongeBob's face in full screen, sweating realistically, as if a drop of water falls on the television screen, and moaning horribly.
Then, when SpongeBob opens the door, voices whispering the word "suicide" appear out of nowhere and give a bad headache. Bob then seems to scream, but his voice is not heard, as if he heard a cut in the audio (you know, any jerk that wants to make lost episodes always makes a video editing nut in exchange for a good animation) but I felt the pain of SpongeBob and I became sick to the point of taking a pill when for three minutes interminable, SpongeBob's parents appear, leaning against his bed, which seems to have a corpse with his gut and brain out, and his eyes hanging on the Corners of Bob's bed staring into nowhere. SpongeBob's parents were killed brutally, with their organs out, followed by blood even more realistic than before covering much of the floor, and the father seemed to have broken his glasses, and his eyes were not there, only Leaving a black sphere around the hole, as if they had been ripped out. SpongeBob's mother was even worse, because her mouth was sewn together and formed a river of sticky blood on her clothing. Your eyes have also been plucked and appear over your bleeding hair...
The weather gets darker, the room gets much darker than normal and it gets scary, and then the exit door seems to close itself, and then you see a scary version of Squidward, with blood all over the body, eyes Black and red, which seemed to bleed a lot, and his mouth seemed to have devoured something different at lunch, for his teeth were terribly sharp and long (including their prey) and seemed to have pieces of flesh all over the mouth, besides In a soft yet frightening voice, and held a dirty knife with dark, honey-colored blood. And then, ironically, the voices increase, to the joy of my ears that could not stand so much whisper. Squidward then approaches SpongeBob as he crawls back saying the last words of this atrocity:
"It's your end, SpongeBob! If you want to survive, you'll have to be just like me!"
"No, Squidward, please, I'll do anything, but do not kill me!"
"Then eat your parents like a cake!"
So Bob looks at his parents, with contempt, for he did not want to become a cannibal, And tries to escape through the window, but Squidward was as fast as Sonic, and took him by his pants with his blood-soaked tentacle and carried him into the room again.
Only a black screen appears in that part with the scream of SpongeBob, which was chilling and realistic, in which he could hear several "NOS" as he screamed in pain and agony, and then suddenly appear the credits of the drawing still on a dark screen, But the music was the one used in the series.
When the episode was over, I felt Patrick on SpongeBob SquarePants Movie, in the scene where he is open-mouthed when he sees the car being devoured by a giant monster in a ditch that went to the Shell City. I could not sleep for months thinking about the episode, but I ended up easily forgetting what happened when I came back to animate the series, but, I was very scared of Squidward now, thinking that he would murder all the innocents and jump off the screen to me kill.
When Mike was arrested, he stayed there for 1 year until he was released when his wealthy parents got him off the chain disappointed. Through his former friends, I discovered that he had been a common and joyful person for a long time, but for some reason he ended up sinister and unhealthy for saguinaria, and to this day we do not know why. He is currently my friend (Yeah, my friend, after I have allusions to this unhealthy episode) and I ask him at all times why he is so sinister to the point of making a mistake on Nickelodeon and being arrested for it, and he always says:
"It's for an even more obscure reason."
