Spongebob Squarepants: The Suffering
I used to really like Spongebob, but after this episode, I don't think I could look at that yellow sponge the same way again. It all started on a cold Friday night, I was sitting on my sofa, and I watched NickToons. There was a event on NickToons called Shock Week, that was on during Halloween half-term. I saw a bumper come on for a Spongebob special. "Exprience true horror, as you see the world of Spongebob, like you have never seen it before, a new Spongebob Halloween Special is on tonight called The Suffering, tonight at 8:00PM, only on NickToons!" The person said. Soon, it was 8:00PM, and I was excited.
The Episode
The intro began to start, but it was a very strange sight indeed. The colours were a lot darker, and I could hear some muffled wailing, that sounded painful, and the music sounded like a choir, but with deep and booming voices. A title card floated onto the screen, the title card said The Suffering. The episode started, but the audio was more quiet and scratchy at some points. It cut to the outside of Spongebob's house, I heard the door creaking open slightly, and as I sat, I felt a chill rushing down my spine. The door opened, to reveal Spongebob, his eyes seemed to follow me, and the screen had a dark blue tint to it. It cut to Spongebob in his house, but he felt like he was being watched, Spongebob was paranoid, checking every window and every door. Spongebob's smile was slightly off-center, but that didn't bother me. Spongebob's skin was a dirty yellow, with his holes filled with worm-like creatures. Spongebob laughed, but it echoed, and he had a singular hole, dripping with blood with great force. "I am coming." Spongebob said, with his eyes growing slightly in size. It faded to a scene with Patrick at his house. I noticed there were ashes on the ground, and Patrick seemed miffed, like he didn't want this to happen. Patrick's smile slowly turned into a twisted smile, as he almost cried. "Why did you have to die, Sandy?" Patrick screamed at the top of his lungs. Patrick seemed to be mad, with a red face. "What does this all mean?" Patrick said, with a grumpy expression. It cut to Squidward, he looked older, and he had a forced smile on his face. "What is my purpose?" Squidward said, as his smile became to slowly droop into a pretty uncomfortable face. Squidward's eyes were now a shade of maroon, and he looked a bit jealous. It cut to Spongebob, as his skin began to stretch and the surroundings became a lot darker. Spongebob's head was a lot bigger than normal, as his eyes soon began to evaporate, and it zoomed into Spongebob's face, and the hole that was bleeding looked a lot more graphic and it was a more detailed drawing. His whole face started to fill up the screen. Spongebob looked at the screen, as his eyes got more bloodshot and his voice was much more evil-sounding. Spongebob had a almost human expression on his face, but it looked slighly off. Spongebob stared into the screen, while his eyes grew to a massive size. It cut to black after that, and my TV suddenly switched off. I was shaking, I was horrified.
Aftermath
After this episode, I don't think I should trust Spongebob, because for all I know, he could be watching me. I told my friends about, but they didn't believe me. I now live in fear, and I don't think I should trust anything anymore. I know one thing, Spongebob is coming. And he will find you...
