Stanley Parable Theory

After playing this game a couple times I got to thinking of the nature of Stanley's job. Stanley's job is to push butttons and to recieve the orders, he would have to either had to recieved them from a person typing them in, in which case they already pressed the button, or from a com♥♥♥♥r script, in which case the script could just do it. The only reasons that his job would make any sense is if his keyboard is physically attached to something, or if the company wanted to keep Stanley specifically there.

Looking at the first reason, the only thing that I could think of it being attached to is a torture chamber where he unknowingly operates the instruments of torture. Who is he torturing? None other than the Narrator! Here's my logic behind that. After years of being tortured by Stanley, the Narrator escapes and kills everyone else in the office out of anger, but leaves Stanley for last as he wants Stanley to play his "game" which he has a "story" set up for to psycologically torture him before finally exacting his revenge. He does this by stealing some equiptment from the mind control facility and projecting his voice, music, and sometimes images into Stanley's brain. In the endings where the Narrator like Stanley, those are the ones where the Narrator realizes that Stanley is a good guy and decides to let him live, but the Narrator otherwise wants Stanley to kill himself.

The other reason would make sense if instead of an office building it was a high-tech prison or mental ward where they used mind control to either make the criminals feel as if they are contributing to society or keeping the patients feeling sane. Either way, what would of happened is there was something that happened that caused a mass evacuation, like lets say a mind control malfunction, but they forgot Stanley. After several hours of mind control Stanley is either brain damaged by being exposed to the machine for so long and goes insane, or returns to his previous insanity and starts hearing a voice in his head telling him where to go, and what to do, seeing things that could never be and probobly dies like in the insane ending.

In summary, I probobly just wasted about 5 minutes of your life by having you read that
