"You're not going to leave me again, are you?~"

I woke up one Sunday morning and immediately went to my Sega Genesis to start playing my new Sonic game. I had just gotten it for my birthday, after all. I turned on the game and pressed the start button. The game started up as it should, showing the Sega logo and then the usual Sonic logo appeared. Except something was different. Instead of Sonic appearing above the Logo Amy appeared staring blankly at the screen. I was a little confused because Amy never came out in a sonic game until 1993. I just shrugged it off and pressed the start button and the game started as usual.

I went through the first stage like normal except when I made it to the end before I could pass the sign sonic immediately stopped and I couldn't make him move. I was about to reset the console when tails slowly walked onto screen and accompanied sonic. Again, I was confused. Tails doesn't appear until the next game and definitely doesn't ever do a part in that game like this. I started thinking about it and just assumed that it was a rom hack that one of my friends made for me.

I continued with the game regularly until the last level of green hill zone. When I got to the part where you're supposed to fight Eggman I was assuming that another weird thing was going to happen and sure enough, instead of a boss fight it was just an empty space. It was silent for a moment then Amy walked onto screen staring at Tails.
