Super Mario World: Brothers of Death

You know, have you ever thought that video games were a way to escape from reality?

I did, especially when my brother went to jail? He was a suspect in his girl freinds murder but they didnt have proof, but they still kept him under lock so they could watch him and key intill he killed him self,but he sent me a game befor he did.

I wish i never played it

I got a package in the mail a couple weeks ago. The package had an old SNES in it as well as one cartridge But it had the label ripped of and the label was replaced with a piece of tape

"Lies and truth"

"What does that mean?" I said, but I didn't care though. It came from my brother after all so put it in and started it up. The Nintendo logo came up as a music track and title screen came up. I saw that it was Super Mario World, but the music seemed... off. I assumed that because it was old and it was buggy, so I pressed start to see the profile screen to see one file,but it was weird. Instead of the normal text saying "mario" it instead said...

"The truth"

I also saw that it was in world 1 and had 0 lives. I pressed start once again pressed start but instead of staring in yoshi's island (the first world) i was in a black void with no music and me in control of...

"Who is that?"

I wasn't playing as Mario, I was some kid with brown hair and some red glasses and he looked like he was scared by something. As i moved him left a text box appeared:

Did you want to learn the truth

Dominic?

What the hell? How did the game know my name? I continued walking forward as another text box appeared:

It was my fault dominic!

She just didn't

Want me! she tried to

Leave...

The text closed and closed but a new one appeared:

I didn't let her!

When the box closed, I moved forward. I realized there were red pixels on the wall

I let you know this,dominic, cause you won't

be alive to tell

I finally realized who the kid was. It was me. The screen faded out as appeared on a bridge above lava as figure appeared on screen

I'm sorry, but

The figure had an object in it's hand

I'm SoRrY!

The figured dived as I felt a pain in my chest and blacked out

I woke up in the hospital. My girlfriend found me on the floor next to a t.v full of static. When i got out, i smashed the game so i wouldn't have to deal with it, but it's gone now i received another game from him with a sega genesis and sonic the hedgehog with the label "Act 2"
