THE ORIGINAL CONCRETE MUSIC VIDEO
Hello, I am a HUGE Lovejoy fan. My username online is MarkfromLovejoyfan10169, it's pretty obvious that Mark is my favorite. My favorite song and Music Video is Concrete. I read on a Lovejoy Tik Tok page that there is a VHS tape with the original Concrete music video on it. So, of course, I went to look for wherever this VHS was, thankfully I had a VHS player I found laying in the produce Aisle of the grocery store that I took without anyone stopping me.
I was just walking around one day, to go to pawn shops to find the tape. Until I found something leaning against my neighbor's trash can. It was a VHS tape, I was weirded out at first. They only use DVDs and Streaming Services. Well, I picked up the tape and what it said on it made me so happy, I could've run across the entire world and back. It was The VHS Tape, there was tape on it with text written across it reading "CONCRETE ORIGINAL MUSIC VIDEO" with red Sharpie.
Finally, I had it. The VHS tape, I ran straight to my house to put it in my vhs player, upstairs, in my room. I popped in the tape, and it started up. I was so excited, I was bouncing up and down. This is where things get scary. If you get scared easily, I would stop reading right now, as it will get so intense, you will start crying blood. Your mouth and anus will cry blood in fear.
The video starts as normal, Wilbur walking down to the pub. But when he goes to the pub, he pulls out a shotgun and starts shooting everyone there. This horrified me to my core, my sweet little boy...He was killing innocent people. This goes on until the line "All this over a kiss" where it cuts to a woman's corpse inside of a car (presumably Wilbur's).
He pulls her out of the car and into a skatepark, at the line "You won't get what you need". But one of the lines changed "If I had it my way you'd sleep on the concrete" was now "If I had it my way you'd bleed on the concrete", and as he says this he slams this poor, innocent woman's head into the concrete floor of the skatepark.
On the line "It was a pissed-off march up to the bus stop station" it cuts to Wilbur dragging the woman's body to a bus stop station. He meets the other members here and they needlessly beat her more. I was horrified and close to vomiting. Joe, Ash, Wilbur, beating this woman. The people I looked up to were actually these horrible monsters...and Mark, my one true love...HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!? BEATING THIS CORPSE OF THIS INNOCENT WOMAN SO INCONSIDERATELY! I started crying, tears became like Waterfalls as they fell down my face. Eventually, a bus shows up on the line of "All I'm saying is" Wilbur takes the corpse with him to sit with him on the bus.
Somehow, nobody notices the body. There is another line change "How can you look at yourself without wanting to hit yourself" to "wanting to kill yourself" he's right, I decided after finishing the music video, that I will shoot myself in the head to spare myself the pain of the truth behind Lovejoy. At the line "All this over a kiss" someone notices the body and tries to attack Wilbur. He then looks at the screen, the music stops, he says "Hello, my real name, I am EVIL Wilbur" the music resumed and I was horrified, how did he know my real name? Wasn't this prerecorded? Wilbur fights back and gouges out his eyes. Wilbur and the others kill everyone on the bus. They dance over the corpses until the music video ends. I watched in disbelief, there was no way this was happening. I was prepared to take my own life.
As the VHS tape ends, I feel something behind me. I turn around... IT'S WILBUR SOOT ON MY BED! HE HAD A KNIFE AND A CREEPY SMILE. He was approaching me as Joe jumped through my window and stood up, pistol in hand. Ash walked out of my closet. What the fuck was happening!? Then Mark, the love of my life walked through my door with his drumsticks, bloodied. "Are you ready to die?" Wilbur said to me as I jumped out of my window, thank god my bedroom is on the first floor of the house. I ran to a friend's house and that is where I am now. I am terrified, I heard a scream from the other room. Now I feel drum sticks tracing my back, and a voice "Hello I am EVIL Mark". He is the drummer of LoveJoy.
