Tale of the Box

There was a woman who lived alone. She had a box in her room, which was rarely opened. One night as she was trying to sleep it started to make noises. She looked around and turned towards it, when it stopped. After that, she figured it was a train or something, so she went back to trying to sleep. But this wouldn't be the last of the mysterious noise.

Whenever she walked past the room, the box would make noise. Again, observing it would show it doing nothing.

After a week of the noise repeating over and over again, she'd had enough. She walked up to it.

What would happen if she opened it?

She grabbed the top of the lid... and yanked it open.

And there was a ghost inside.
