The Demon of Minecraft

This is my story of what happened to me on minecraft in late February of 2011. The story can only have the title of one word because that is the only applicable name that can describe what I saw last winter.

I was on my server with 3 friends just dicking around. We had flying mods so we decided to see how far up we could fly. Out of complete bordom, we didn't stop. We kept flying till my friend hit 65,000 meters. He reluctantly stopped to wait for our other friend who had a late start to getting up top with us. I, however, proceeded to advance ahead of the group.

I had kept going on and on with number just passing by, 70,000, 80,000, 90,000. I want to get up to the top of 100,000 and see if they would be willing to actually fly up that high. Once on top of 100,000. I waited for quite sometime. I lost contact with my friends for 20 minutes unknowing of what happened to them. I thought to myself, "I bet there is something cool up here ahead of 100,000 meters". Being oblivious of the upcoming events, I continued.

Ten meters into my journey. The sky went completely black, the sun disappeared. My past surroundings went black. I was in this room full with no "blockiness" in it. I didn't know what to think. I took one step and noticed there was something in there with me. Not a person nor an object. Not a blob of some sorts. But it was something that made its presence known. And I was consumed with this overwhelming feeling that it was staring directly at me. My mind went dead for what seemed to be a long time. My computer blacked out. And all the lights in my apartment went dead.

The image of the thing I saw is burned into my eyelids. There is no word in the English language that can sum up what I saw besides the title "It". For the night, I unconsciously ran out of my apartment into the street looking for someone to tell about what had just happened. I spent the night at my friend's house. Unable to sleep, we catergorized what it could possibly be. But these things we thought of were too plain to fit that description. I went through 2 months of talking with a psychologist.

Since now, I no longer play online games such as World of Warcraft or Minecraft. I live life looking for simple things to take my mind off of it. If you treasure your sanity, don't go looking in places you normally wouldn't. Somethings in this life aren't made to be found. Good luck out there friend, because you'll need it.
