The Gameboy Game

Gameboy is my favorite thing to play. Most of the games I play are usually Japanese.

This time, I picked up a weird game, titled "The Game", which was included on an eBay auction with several games. I already had most of the games, except for "The Game" and Rockman World 5. I paid it for about $39.99 USD.

I waited about 3 weeks for it ship to my house (from Japan). Once it finally arrived, The Game was WHITE, not? GRAY like the rest was. It had a label, but it was badly scratched, like most of the games. I started with it, and began to play it.

I checked out the history of THE GAME, only to find it was a beta of a abandoned game. The game was terrible, which possibly explains why it was never touched again. The next day, I played it again, attempting a video of it. I had found there was BLOOD in it! It also had some strange, faint, scary faces next to some characters. I thought the blood was Kool-aid until someone said:

"彼は死んだ!早く助けに行く!" (He is dead! I'm going to help fast!)

The scary face was a boss at one point. He knocked me out, and I faced him again. The scary face was defeated eventually and said:

"私は戻ってきます..." (I'll be back...)

Almost every single time I got low on health, the face would try to get me. I almost lose every time I face it, but I barely win. It would say the same thing when ever I beat it.

I pretty much got to the end of the game (or as far as I could go) and saw that the final boss was the guy who was dying. It was the face's minion. The face was still appearing faintly around characters. If I hit it (the creepy appearing face), it would just disappear. The final boss used some move that killed me.

The Game over screen was plain and simple, except I couldn't start over. Even after I turned it off, and turned it back on, it would still say "GAME OVER..." It was obvious that the programmers don't want people to play this. I almost confirmed that theory, until I saw the creepy face and the guy laughing...
