The Geometry Dash Beta Build

One day in Late 2012, a 16-year-old boy from Portugal received a file that RobTop accidentally leaked on his twitter named geometryjump.exe.

The boy was a huge fan of Boomlings and decided to download and run the file. He was greeted with a title screen. The menu was similar to the one in the final game but was lacking 4 of the 7 levels that made it into the final version and there was a level called Ultimate Destruction. It also lacked the icon kit as the default icon was the only one programmed in at this point. It was very similar to the finished geometry dash, gameplay wise, and the boy found it fun.

That is until on attempt 60, things started to change. For one the music became louder and higher pitched as the attempts go on, and the level became much harder (top 15 difficulty today) and laggier. Objects like hanging people, scary images, and flickering lights started to show up. Suddenly, at attempt 100, The power in the village the player lives in went completely out, but the computer was still getting power somehow. The player tried to call for help, but everyone was asleep, and his soundproof door was locked by his parents. So, he continued playing.

Around Attempt 125, His icon started changing colors rapidly, and then on attempt 150, the icon changed to the players face. Lots of more scary things happened, like the player computer getting viruses and the monitor started floating.

This was until the player failed at attempt 201 when the game started to omit certain color patterns of weird colors that gave the player multiple strokes and seizures. The next morning, the player was found dead at his computer desk while the game was laughing manically. The mother of the player discovered this and quickly unplugged the computer. Ironically, Stereo Madness was playing at the players funeral.

The mother, who was a Jounalist, decided to write this story into the local newspaper. The story made it to newspapers and news channels all over Europe. When RobTop discovered this, he quickly removed Ultimate Destruction from the game and replaced it with the Level 5 we all know and love.
