The Ghost of 2011

It happened in the summer of 2011. It was a long day at work, which was just weeding my Grandparent’s place with a friend. Trust me, the place was like a week worth job. The sun was setting and we started cooking dinner while watching "Ghost Hunters," we always got inspired to do our own investigations at my Grandparent's house after watching that show.

We waited for the sun go down fully and the stars were showing. We got out my camera, and made sure that my batteries were full. We went to the kitchen and started by asking if someone or something was here. We waited, eventually we moved onto different room until we finished. We uploaded our videos on the computer and analyzed them. Surprisingly, we did find a few things that interested us and posted them on YouTube quick.

During the remainder of her visit, nothing really happened. It was late, and it was time for her to go home, she had school early the next day. When I returned home, I showered and watched TV for a little. I got so drowsy, I actually managed to get up and walk to the back room and flopped on the bed, whistling for my dog to get into bed with me. I fell asleep quick. It was late at night, I was groggy, but I shifted to look that it was 3:15 A.M, I moved my legs to feel that my dog was still by my feet. I smile and shifted to nestle in the covers, I closed my eyes, yet I could hear footsteps on the wooden floorboards in the halls. One thing about my Grandparent's place, the floorboards would give you away.

For some reason, it didn’t bother me, maybe I was too groggy, but the steps got louder until they stopped. The bed started to creak as the corner of the bed by my feet started to sink down, I tried moving but I couldn’t, I couldn’t even open my eyes. I felt another pressure lowering next to my knees, another by my upper side then on my chest. I then felt the worse of it all, something instantly tightened on my neck, I gasped, I tried moving and opening my eyes, but I couldn’t for a few seconds. I was finally able to open my eyes, but I wish I didn’t, I saw a black shadow with red eyes glaring down at me. It was growling and slammed my neck down, forcing me in the bed, it got up quick and ran down the hall quick, I heard the footsteps.

I curled up under my blankets, shaking violently. I got up quick after a few minutes, I saw my dog was on the bed on the other side. I got up and looked around quick, trying to debunk what it was. Nothing was around. I sat on the couch, turned on the TV and watched a show. I will never sleep alone in this house again. My fears were right about the unknown.
