The Kocker Podcast

Podcasts.

You either love them or hate them. Now I never really was interested in listening to or watching a podcast. I always viewed them as boring 2 and a half hour videos of 2 hosts talking to a guest and asking them weird and bad questions. Now I do have some friends who enjoy listening to a podcast. I won't be naming any of them, but they mostly enjoy podcasts like: The Joe Rogan Experience, Distractible and many more.

However, there is someone that I do wanna mention, Kyle. Kyle is an interesting... guy I guess. Met him during college, and I've been talking to him ever since then infrequently. He isn't one of my best friends, not by a long shot. He is just fine. I think the guy has a girlfriend though so, good luck to him.

But somewhere last year Kyle was listening more and more to podcasts. When I was talking to him he would always also mention something about podcasts, like.

Bro did you listen to the new JRE episode? That was so good!

Bro this new podcast about aliens and conspiracy is SICK, you gotta listen to it!

Bro Markiplier is so funny! You gotta check the Distractible podcast!

My response would always be either that I wasn't interested or that I would listen to it later, which I wouldn't. However, one conversation would leave me in a weird ass rabbit hole that I'm still confused about to this day. Before that though I was having another conversation with Kyle. Nothing out of the ordinary, I think we were talking about like Dassani or something and how bad it is. That was when Kyle would mention a podcast, that I never heard of before.

Yo also you should check out The Kocker Podcast, it's so funny and cool! I love the hosts. He said in an excited tone, like every other time.

The Kocker Podcast? I asked, absolutely perplexed at the sentence he just said.

Yeah, it's a pretty new podcast that is so underrated!

It's called the Cocker Podcast? I asked.

No, Kocker. He responded immediately.

After my confusion, Kyle would later explain that he had some stuff to do so he went home a lot earlier than normally. Now I don't google podcasts on their info and try to sit through one in one sitting, but this specific one just kind of got me interested because of the name since it sounded funny so I did some research.

Searching for info on this thing kind of made me even more confused. First I found the logo, a lime-colored, cursive font disaster that made me wonder if they even tried to design a logo (which they didn't). Then I found their YT channel, and that's it. Yep. No website, no merchandise, no Apple, not even Spotify. Just YT. Cause that was the only way I could have found their episodes. Looking at the episodes they only had 3. One was a guest appearance by some random English cricket fan, the second was with a random girl who lived with puppets (at least that's what was said in the title). And lastly an interview with the fallen off rapper 6ix9ine.

6ix9ine? Damn, my guy's career is dead like why is he on here? I confusingly asked myself. As I clicked on the video.

The video starts with a Windows Movie Maker intro with the aforementioned logo. No sound, no music, just a still image of a lime-colored logo with some effects on it. And then it jumps to the studio of the podcast, a lime-cyan room with 3 tables of laptops, microphones, and other stuff used for recording.

Well, I mean the studio doesn't look bad, maybe this actually can be good? I asked myself not knowing my fate of what I would watch.

Immediately the hosts of the podcast would introduce themselfs, Steve and Julia. Who are also siblings, since they mentioned that also. They would then present 6ix9ine as their guest appearance for today. 6ix9ine was wearing a black shirt with some gold chains on as well. And Julia asks him.

So for what reason do you always wear go-

OOOO Steve screamed at 6ix9ine out of nowhere, jumpscaring me.

6ix9ine would respond like any other celebrity with big wealth would. Annoying, making me want to punch him in his face. Julia would once again ask another question.

Cool, another thing, do yo-

OOOO Steve once again screamed at 6ix9ine, again jumpscaring me.

I was already tempted to close YouTube and do anything else than watch this, cause this was starting to get annoying fast. Like for what reason is Steve screaming at the guest? To be funny? I mean it can be but like, if the sole reason of you being one of the hosts of a podcast just to scream at the guest, not questioning them, you become the most hated person in media if the podcast is mildly popular. And that continues for the rest of the episode, Julia asks a question, Steve screams, and 6ix9ine answers the question. That's not even for one episode, that's for the whole DAMN PODCAST. There weren't any funny moments aside from Steve screaming, no funny answers, not at all. It just seemed like it was made as a joke, and made me scared. I turned off my laptop and went to sleep.

Immediately tomorrow when I got to Kyle and asked about my issues of the podcast he responded with.

What? He replied confused.

What do you mean what? You were the one who said that I should check out the podcast I replied with an angry tone.

I never said anything about The Kocker Podcast, are you on something?

Look, I will show you what I'm talking about.

But when I went on Google to show him the podcast, there were no results. Everything that I saw yesterday was gone, nowhere on the internet, not even a YouTube channel, or a logo.

So... this is awkward. He replies.

BITCH shut up and your stupid movie trop quotes, honestly I am so angry that I can't talk to you now. I replied and left Kyle to go home.

To this very day, I can't find the podcast anywhere. I couldn't even find forums on people talking about it. And I can't even stop thinking about the damn thing, because of his screams...

Steve, if you're reading this. I'm coming after you.
