The Motion Light

The other day, while I was playing Xbox live with my friends, I had the blinds up and window open. My room faces my neighbor's house and out of the corner of my eye I noticed my neighbor's motion light from their back entrance was turned on.

Due to the weather I've been having, I figured it was the wind and paid little attention to it. I decided I wanted to take a sip of my Gatorade when I didn't feel the cold that usually happens when I leave the window open. So I placed my hand on the screen to feel that there was no wind at all, not even a breeze.

Just then the neighbor's motion light turned on again. But the odd part wasn't the fact that there was no breeze, it was the fact that it couldn't be the neighbor's because they moved out a month ago. They don't have any pets, and we don't get raccoons in this city.

We do get lizards, but, I don't think one six inch lizard is capable of turning on the motion light. That's when I stopped talking on Xbox and began to pay close attention to their yard. When I swear to God I saw a shadow, and it freaked me the hell out. That's when I heard a shattering glass sound. At this point, I told my friends I'd be back, and turned off my Xbox.

The victim found was twenty year old James Mitchell, Male, and Caucasian. Was found dead with one other victim: thirty-seven year old Jamie Mitchell, Female, Caucasian. Murdered by multiple slash marks on both victims. The only evidence found was a shattered window.

Except for on James' body carved in with a knife said, "Watch out sometimes motion lights can be manipulated." One scene that frightened some officers was the neighbor's motion light remained on from the moment they showed up to the time they left. Some officers that night had some effects of temporary extreme paranoia. The murderer now known as the "Motion Light Murderer" has still not been found.
