The Murder Miner

I've always been a fan of Xbox indie games. Though most of the indie games I've seen never really seemed to interest me. There was this one game though, Murder Miners they call it. It is a combination of Halo and Minecraft, and I've always loved Minecraft and Halo, so I gave it a shot.

So getting back on after a long time, I decided to play some Multiplayer zombie survival. I loaded the map "Cavern". No one joined me so I decided to back out and host a singleplayer lobby. I went to pick a map from the default section, and I saw a map that I've never seen before. It contained random numbers, as it's named:

"0100110204"

So I loaded it up, and the background was just a black screen with a weird shadowy figure that you could barely see.

I'm telling myself, "What could this possibly be?"

It confused me, but I started the game.

It was just a dark pitch black map with random hilly mountain terrain. There was dark fog, so it was kind of hard to see. I continue on to kill the zombies that spawned on the map, but then all of the sudden I see something peering over a hill. It seemed like a normal figure or a zombie, but there was a white name over it's head. It was "GET". I was freaking out, I tried to kill it, but then it vanished.

I normally see most people ignore this, but I was always a curious person. I kept playing and all the sudden, I return to the dashboard with no error message or heads up on what could have happened. And all the sudden, my Xbox turned off.

I was then scared to death. I heard a large knock on the other side of the wall in my room, as I turn to look I see letters on the wall, on one wall I saw "O", on the other I saw "U" and the other I saw "T". I put them together and I got the word "OUT". I walk outside my room to see what the noise was and as I walk out the curtains flew because of the wind, and that split second I saw a shadowy figure.

I thought it was lightning at first, but as I go over to shut the window, I hear tapping at the back door that was opened, I looked and I saw the shadowy figure again. It looked exactly the same as the one on the map picture. My vision started to blur up and then I had passed out before I knew it, and the morning I woke up in the same spot, with the back door closed, but a light, shiny ball peering on the other side of the window over and over and over again.

I continued the day as I had the scene stuck in my mind all day long, and I was too freaked out to go outside and find what the source was of the "light ball". The next night I saw the shadowy figure again pass by the window. I try to fall asleep as quick as I can so I wouldn't see any more of this. I woke up the next day and decided to go over to my friends house.

I spoke with him about what happened, and like most people, he thought I was crazy. I told him about Murder Miners so he thought it was pretty cool. He searched it up on the Bing engine on Xbox. I was on his internet looking at hilarious YouTube videos, and then my friend told me this:

"I just searched Murder Miners, are you sure it's actually called Murder Miners?"

I replied with a simple, "Yeah, why?"

"Because I just searched it, there is no such thing as a indie game called "Murder Miners"
