The Nightmarish Ball
It would be just a normal prom ball. If the director wouldn't decide to make it a fucking masquerade.
So, it was prom ball with costumes. I read quite a lot of creepypasta, so I tried to make Slenderman costume. It took a lot of time to glue together the mask (and make it possible to see through it) and make me look way higher in the costume, but in the end my costume was so high, that I could not raise to the full height in my little flat. I called my GF and said her that I'll come in Slenderman suit. She said that her suit will be a surprise. While I was in my flat, fully dressed, waiting for alarm clock to ring, I sensed some presence watching me. Once I sharply turned back, and I swear, I saw some tall man flash for a second. It scared the crap out of me, but the mysterious figure didn't appear anymore, and I didn't sense any danger anymore. I thought I scared it off.
When I took bus to the ball, I seen this figure appear for a few seconds in one of the dark alleys. It seemed to appear out of NOTHING. Then it disappeared, dissolved into the air, I don't know. It was there, a moment later it wasn't.
Finally I got to the university, and got up to the to the university hall.
The party was raging. I recognised all kinds of memes, monsters, mythical people and creatures, heroes and villains, pirates and their parrots...
And one especially tall figure in the crowd.
I ran to it, bursting through pirates, ninjas, ponies, cthulhus... But in the last moment, it vanished. I suddenly felt the urge to go to the lavatory, so I left the ballroom and went there. In the lavatory, guy was desperately trying to fix a cut on his Slenderman mask. There was something extremely disturbing about him, but I helped him with the mask.
After I relieved myself and went back to the hall, I remembered that the cut on the guy's mask was dripping blood.
I quickly ran up to the university's gateman and asked, "Hey, old Jack, have you seen my GF?" The guard knew every student by sight, he recognised me, and said:
"Ah, she got outta 'ere with guy in the costume similar to yours, but way taller, and with tentacles on the back."
