The Old Lady

Around a year ago I was walking home from a friend who was living 4 km away from my house. I thought it was a very long long way to go, so I took a shortcut. The shortcut is a very old stone road that was haunted, but I didn't care so much about the supernatural.

I decided to walk that shortcut and so I did. After around 5 minutes I had a feeling that I was being followed by someone or something. I turned around and said "Hello, anybody there?" I was replied with silence. I started walking again, but the still the feeling was there. I began to hear footsteps and I turned around so many times without any kind of idea what it could be.

After some terrifying minutes I decided to turn around and just take the normal road home, but as I turned I heard a whisper saying "No escape" in an old lady's voice. I was so terrified that I ran away the opposite way from the exit.

I was tired of running and slowed down, but in the road there was a silhouette of an old lady. I said, "Hello." She replied with "No escape". She was suddenly gone, so I started running again, but when I was at the spot where the lady where standing I felt a hand on my shoulder. I turned around and then I saw that lady, but when I saw her eyes she said "I'm with you forever" and then she vanished. I ran home crying.

When I came home, my mom took care of me, I soon went to bed after some food and turned off the lights. I was on the edge of sleeping, but then I heard "No escape, no sleep, no freedom and no life" and there was the lady, the old lady from the road just staring at me. She vanished and I found a sentence scratched on the side of my bed "I see you... Forever" She has been staring at me ever since, at school, at home, and she never will stop staring. I will never take a shortcut again ever in my entire life.
