The Origins of Amae

"Koromo" spelled backwards is Omorok, which is peculiarly similar in sound to "Amarok". An Amarok, in Inuit mythology, is a giant nocturnal wolf that eats humans. Wolves are known to eat rabbits, and Koromo has rabbit ears, with the color of red to symbolize blood from the teeth of the Amarok.

It can be assumed that Koromo enjoys mythology, as she often speaks in old-English and uses a very diverse vocabulary that was prominent in the middle ages of mythological beliefs. This further ties into the fact that Omorok is a mythological wolf that eats rabbits.

"Wolf" spelled backwards is also "flow", a technique Koromo uses to control the "flow" of the mahjong game she is playing. Most of Koromo's energy comes from the sea and the moon, and the moon controls the "flow" of the sea. The sea is blue, and the moon is white. Seagulls come out at both day and night. On the moon there are holes from meteorites, and sponges have holes. "Seagulls" spelled backwards is "Sllugaes", which sounds similar to "Sluggies", which Koromo would use in reference to seeing slugs or snails, given her child-like personality.

So what does this all make Koromo??

KOROMO IS A RABBIT-EARED AMAROK WITH SLUG-LIKE FEATURES THAT EATS SEAGULLS AND IS CONTROLLED BY THE FLOW OF THE MOON AND SEA.
