The Sableye Scandal

I was 8 years old when Pokemon Sapphire came out. I bought it the second day after it came out. Not many of the pokemon were cool looking to me, but I grew a liking to them.

I was in Granite Cave when I saw it. Sableye. It looked so cool with it's diamond eyes and creepiness. After several pokeballs, i finally caught it. I named him Diamond. I leveled that thing up like crazy. I took it everywhere. By the fifth gym leader, he was already level 52. I honestly didn't care much for my others. Torchic was at some level below ten. All the others were for HM use.

I battled my "dad" and defeated him. My Sableye was just amazing, and I taught him all the best moves. By the time i made it to the Elite Four Champion, Steven, I had Diamond at level 84. After I beat the game, I woke up in my room, as every game. Then weird things began to happen.

I had a level 100 Sableye in my party. I then got in a battle with a ninja boy. He sent out Koffing, I sent Diamond. My attack missed, and Koffing used smokescreen. This went on until my accuracy was as low as it can go. After 2 minutes of missed attacks, I started getting really mad. I was cursing at the pixel creation, and when i finally hit an attack, Koffing fainted and I won.

I jumped back to the overworld and a text box appeared. It read: Diamond: Why do you yell at me? My vision was obscured. I couldn't see very well. How would you like it? This was odd, as i knew this wasn't a hack. I bought it at wal-mart, not anywhere else and it was the second day it was out, so how could anyone make a hack that soon?

The swearing at Diamond when it missed continued over a few days. Accuracy lowered, attack missed, it seemed to loop in some battles. After a while some dialogue from the Sableye got graphic. Such as: Diamond: I'm going to kill you for being mean to me! This got me frightened of the game.

I stopped playing my sapphire for about two years. I uncovered it in a box of my old comics I made when I was younger. I popped it in my game and played again. The Sableye was still my party, as it should have been. Then something popped up on the screen: Diamond: Oh, you're back. You think you can leave me in a box for 2 years, and expect me to love you? Well I don't. I'm going to kill you tonight. I was terribly scared by the words on my screen.

I was laying in bed that night, trying to sleep after the terror I felt playing the game again. I heard a creak in the hall, and then my door opened slowly. I saw a short figure at the door whom I thought was my cousin. The figure jumped onto my bed and started hacking my chest with its claws. Before I had died, I saw the gleam from the creature's eyes.

Two hours later, the cops came to investigate. They were shocked to see what they found.

Two Bloody Diamonds.
