The Truth about Lance

I couldn't go outside because of the blizzard, so all I did was play video games alone in my room. I had found my old Gameboy Color while searching for games to play but I had no games for it, so I got and my computer and searched eBay for some more. After scrolling through a few pages of them, I saw one that scared me. It was a Pokemon Gold cartridge for 3 dollars. The seller name "POKE 666", said it was in great condition, other than the label being torn off. I refused it because of what happened to me and Matt a few months ago.

A day later, I heard a knock at the door and got up to answer it. When I opened the door, no one was there. I looked down at my feet and saw the game that I refused. I left it out there but curiosity got me better so I picked it up and took it inside. I started to play the game and it showed the title screen. Ho-oh was flying, but Ho-oh was colored instead of a silhouette and the Pokemon logo and sky was grey with grey clouds (much like rain clouds). I was a little creeped out out of how did that happen but I thought it was a glitch so I started to play the game. There was a save file already there with the name "GOLD".

I proceeded to play in the save file it was at the very beginning of the game, so much so that I had no Pokemon, no Pokedex,no items in my bag, and have 3000 Pokedollars, I thought the guy didn't save but once. I went to Professor Elm's lab to select my Pokemon, I selected Cyndaquil, but it didn't let my nickname it and a battle started it. It was Elm himself but with no skin color, hair, or even a face, and with one Pokemon, a level 5 Totodile and had a "PSN" status effect.

I defeated him in one hit with a move that I've never seen before, it's called "Nightmare" and it did a scream. Then Elm said "You killed Steve" and gave me 10,000 Pokedollars. He didn't show up in the lab, he was gone and just before getting my 1st badge the game showed dark red static for 10 seconds followed by a scream so loud that the game boy shocked me even with the sound all the way down. Then, I seen the scariest picture ever, it was Gold but impaled on a spike, bleeding, and body parts shattered everywhere and with Elm standing there laughing. The game restated itself but the title screen with no sky, clouds, or even Ho-oh. It was just a black screen with the logo in inverted colors.

I pressed start and the save file changed to "KILLER", I started up and the same thing happened with Gold impaled on the spike and Elm laughing. I restarted it again but this time it looked like hell itself. The longer I stayed there, the more demonic it becomes. After a hour of staring at it,  my Game Boy turned red and was shaking violently. Scary and demonic things stared to come out from my PC and Gameboy and the apartment complex from the bottom floor set quickly on fire, I managed to grab my laptop, 3DS, and some clothes due to the fire not making to my floor yet. It may not have been safe but I took what even I could grab. I barely made it out but I'll never forget want Gold had to go through. I called and talked to Matt and told him what happened to the apartment and what I saw on my Gameboy and PC and how ghost-like things came out of it , he believed my story. He also offered me to stay at his place until the apartment is rebuild (it only was some minor damage). I accepted his offer and moved my stuff in even though all I had was a few things but I can manage.
