Anyone who watched Rugrats may of noticed Tommy had a really big, melon-shaped head. This means he was deformed or suffering from some kind of disease, which makes the show pretty morbid if you think on it. Maybe the whole show was a product of Tommy's imagination as he fought just to stay alive with this horrible diseased head of his.
